Tv reliability is trash

Have owned this TV for about six or seven months with no problems. Was working most of the day today. Went out for dinner came back and turned it on and it no longer worked. There was a faint back light to it and you could see where you were moving The remote cursor, but there was no picture.

Can’t Connect to Wifi

It is very unreliable in connect to wifi. They brag about having Google TV but the Google TV is worthless if you can’t connect to the internet.

Great visual. Horrendous audio

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After doing a lot of research on different TV brands and models, we chose the TCL QM7 as the best option for us. Picked this TV up very excitedly and brought it home only to set it up and find that the audio was horrendous. The audio came out muffled with unclear words that truly ruined the experience for us. We tried multiple rounds of factory resetting the TV and several other troubleshooting measures to solve the issue. The muffled audio problem disappeared on its own for some time, but after a few weeks of TV watching, the muffled audio came back again. No amount of troubleshooting was able to fix this horrendous muffled audio. Will definitely be returning the TV. 0/10 experience

Unable to connect to Xfinity cable dvr or Apple+

SUCKS. WORST TV I'VE EVER OWNED.

DO NOT BUY

I bought this TV and after 7 months, the screen went black and I can't use it anymore. You can find a lot of people saying the same thing on YouTube, this is a very common issue that this brand has. Do not buy a TCL television

We have had one since December and it started flickering and showing a brown tinted stripe down the right side. I have emailed and called them for two weeks. Their best solution is to update the software which it is. This is nuts the television is 4 months old.

Mediocre

Overall, mediocre is one word to describe TCL. I had it a few days and tried antenna, dvr, Xbox, etc. everything looked washed out and looks lacing color vividness. Took it back and paid a little more to get Samsung ales.

Disappointed

Remote missing. Called customer service to report issue thinking Best Buy would send replacement. Wrong! Since my issue was made known outside 15 day window, Best Buy will not do anything. Very disappointing.

Do not ever apply for a Best Buy card.!!

I spent hours, and I do mean hours, on the phone trying to right everything and they still got it wrong. We'll never deal with them again in that manner.

Great TV for Gaming!

I was using a 10 year old 1080p and it just wasn't cutting it for next-gen gaming. The high refresh rate on this TV makes the gameplay super fluid and the games look amazing now! I had to adjust the setting presets for the audio and video to fit my console and environment, but once the TV is set up, it's a beast! The sound system built into the TV is enough to fill the room and sounds great and the Bluetooth feature easily connects to my headset for total immersion. I've been a fan of Google TV since I bought my Nvidia Shield ten years ago and this TV matches up with and surpasses the quality of the Shield. Highly recommend!

Wanted to get the qm8 but could not afford the extra $200 for it so i bought a 55" qm7 from TCL. I do not see how you could beat the picture. Bright and Saturated
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I kept reading that Mini LED TVs were brighter with higher contrast and saturation than OLEDs, with decent blacks. My last two purchases were OLEDs, and I wanted a bigger screen for my den so I thought I'd try a 55" Mini LED in the guest bedroom and compare it to my OLEDs before I buy a giant screen for the den. I fully intended to buy the Samsung Q90D after doing some online research. When I got to the store I compared this TV to the Samsung and didn't see that much difference. It was a thousand dollars less than the Q90D (4th of July sale), so I bought it. I've had it a few days now and so far I honestly prefer it to my OLEDs which cost over 3x (the 65" price). The added brightness and saturation is really eye catching. The color is probably not as accurate, but I don't care. It just knocks me back in my seat and the blacks are nice and black. I'm not a big fan of the 'Google' interface, but that's not a big deal; I've seen worse. I read that TCL actually pioneered the mini-LED technology and was first to market with it in 2018.

It doesn't play well with Tivo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It has an option to have the input go back to the last input when you turn it on and that doesn't always work. Sometimes when I turn it on it has a frozen picture that is shaking. I have to go to a different input and then back to clear it up. The Tivo remote can't control the input selection because it's kind of complicated. I have to use the TCL remote to hit Input and a list of inputs appear. I then need to use the scroll wheel to move to the input I want and then press the select button to select that input. So I need multiple remotes to use the TV. The picture and sound seem very good.
