Great TV - especially for the price

The sound quality is good, image is great, and I like the easy user interface. I am more of a casual TV/movie watcher, not a gamer, so perhaps the quality would be viewed differently by different types of users, but for me this works perfectly and the price was really attractive. My delivery went smoothly and set up was quick and easy

No issues here, but didn't get their warning until the pamphlets fell out upon removal...thinking those with pixel issues in other reviews, might of fell victim to that...or not.

Only complaints are with the remote. There is no way to differentiate between the 2 TVs/Remotes so if you change the TV with one remote, it changes both TV's pretty much no matter where you point it. Also, there is no why to use a number paid on the remote and I have over 500 channels so you can imagine it can take a little while to migrate to the channel I need.

Sound is mediocre, so plan to use external speakers. Picture adjustment is limited to brightness. No sound adjustment. Still...hard to beat for the price.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm mainly not giving this 5 stars for 2 key reasons. First, I just got it a few days ago, so seriously, everything I have to say about it are all first impressions and could change later on. Second, while a popular and even trusted budget brand, TCL is still a budget brand. While their records show they have far more hits than misses it's still quite possible to get a bad egg from them as well. Which circles back to having had it long. Ok, setting aside that I can only so far fairly judge this on first impressions those impressions are all so far very good one's. Excellent picture for what I believe is their lowest end 4K line of TV's. Sound isn't brilliant, but also not terrible. One of those where just turning up the volume solves it nicely. It could do with some deeper and richer black levels, but a 58 inch TV coming in at $340 by a respectable brand does mean a few compromises are made, and it's not necessarily bad either, it just could be better is all. The remote is, eh, it's a Roku remote. If you hate small remotes spend $10 on a universal. This works as it should, but definitely not for those wanting a good sized remote. I love that there's 4 HDMI inputs here. Clearly everything is going the way of using HDMI cords for connectivity. But a nod too to the fact that they gave conventional A/V inputs as well, although it is the kind you will need to get an adapter for if you should need it. Much like a small remote, that's how roughly half of current companies are doing things right now. At the end of it it simply comes out as the best bang for the buck. Presuming that it lasts a good amount of time then this is an excellent choice for a budget conscious TV. Easy to recommend.
