Defective after 15 months

Don’t get if you have any OTHER STREAMING DEVICE

Had a warranty and tech came out to try and fix it. Waited a week for the part only to be told it couldn't be fixed. This is my 2nd TCL TV to have the backlight die in it. Very disappointed as I was originally a HUGE fan of this brand and recommended it to many people. Had a 55 inch TV do the same thing, that one they were able to fix the 65 inch apparently cannot be.

Terrible! TV lasted 2 days.

Followed all reset procedures. Screen prompts flickered as I proceeded. As soon as I selected a channel to watch, fades to black. Performed factory reset, screen prompts still flickered. Sound bar was added with no issue until it cycled on. Then screen fades to black. TCL Support is trying to talk me through remedies. How many factory reboots do we need before they get to the necessary replacement part.

65” TCL TV

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not happy can’t use my cable remote except to change channels Then I have to use the remote that came with the TV for everything else but first when I was setting it up I couldn’t get it set up had to call the company well it wasn’t to update it with the newest program so she had me going into the TV settings and she said if I didn’t do it just right it would screw up my TV and I’ve only had the TV two weeks or so brand new when do you think it would be updated with the latest and I would have to go in the settings to make it work and when do you think it would be compatible with different cable companies. Not happy

We returned after two weeks because an odd horizontal line showed up while on Netflix and other streaming apps. Roku works great and makes streaming easy though.

Worth Price but

Also picture isn’t as good as I thought a 4K would be. Picture isn’t as sharp as my last TV which wasn’t 4K.

Not as great a picture as I expected

My original TV that I put purchased had some issues with it and geek squad came out to take a look at. Just to find out that the warranty I purchased didn't cover the TV that was installed. Best didn't have my original TV in stock so this tv was provided as a replacement. As far this TV I have given it 2stars because it doesn't respond to the remote as is should. Terrible delay. I literally have to get close to the sensor in order for it to respond some what consistently. And the audio quality is atrocious.

More than bad

I bought it right before Memorial Day and the picture is already starting to go in and out. It also just blanks out with just audio. I have to unplug it several times before it “resets”. I wish I would have sprung a hundred or two more for a more reliable brand. I plan on taking it back to BB. I’m sure that’ll be a hassle. Very displeased

Does not have a web browser

This TV does not have a web browser. I had to buy an HDMI video card and pull an old PC out of storage just so the wife could watch her shows. Now she has two devices to turn on, a mouse a keyboard and a TV remote to use the system. She is not a happy camper, we really took a step backwards on this purchase.

However, there are thousands of streaming channels and over 500,000 different movies and TV episodes available through the Roku streaming system. You can go to www.Roku.com/whats-on to see what streaming channels and apps are offered through the Roku Channel Store. To search for a specific channel you would simply want to enter that information into the search section. Additionally, you can screen mirror compatible Android and Windows phones to the TV. This way you can search on your phone, but view on the TV. Hope this helps!

Backlight Bleed for Days

Immediately noticed backlight bleeding around all edges of the display. Whether that is a defect or not, there is only one option to adjust picture quality and that is the brightness. No options for sound either. Blacks are also splotchy and show ghosting during movement. You get what you pay for. I would recommend spending a little more for better quality panel. Will be returning this for something else.
