Dark picture and constant Netflix issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is very dark on the brightest setting. The processing power is weak as the tv will freeze for 15-30 seconds while trying to perform tasks like volume control or app selecting. Remote is extremely cheap. Netflix will not work. I’ve never passed the 20 minute point of any show without the app completely freezing and not recovering. Wil be returning. Purchased 4 days ago.

Poor Picture Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have six TV's ranging from Visio, LG, Samsung, Sharp and now TCL. I purchased two the day after Thanksgiving. The picture quality is no 1080P, grey line going up and down and just not clear, like a haze. Return window has now closed. Guess I will move out to another room and go back to Visio.

Won't Last Long...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit brand new on Halloween of 2017. The display unit inside it just died yesterday on July 27, 2020. The unit lasted 2 years and 9 months. My last TV before this was a 55" Samsung 4k LED 1080p 6 series (forget the exact model)...but the unit lasted 10 years before I had to replace it...which I did with this TCL unit. Last night I just bought a brand new 75" Samsung Q60T QLED 2160p 4k 6 series to replace this broke TCL and I'm looking forward to enjoying it for another 10 years.

Posted .Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience as this definitely does not sound normal for one of our TVs. Our TVs are carefully designed and engineered to give our customers years of entertainment. Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. We will continue to make improvements to ensure our customers the best experience possible.

Terrible television
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this model in February 2020. We turned it on in mid-late September, the screen turns green, then a line goes across , and a little spider crack is at the end. Geek squad says this damage only occurs from external damage. (2 visits) The technician also says, "This happens all the time" and "Any innocuous touch to the screen can cause this." Nothing can be done. This is my second tv and second extended warranty I've purchased from you all in 6 years. In both cases, nothing could be done. This model is one the curb. Best Buy, we won't be back.

Posted .Hello,
We’re sorry to hear that you're having issues with your TV. Regrettably, physical damage would not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. You can visit https://www.tclusa.com/support/warranty to find more information on our warranty requirements and limitations. With situations like this, we encourage you to check with the retailer you purchased from to see if they cover this type of issue with the TV. Additionally, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Hope this helps!

Didn’t work out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried to hook up my speakers using the AV adapter provided with the TV and didn’t get any sound. Plugged adapter into headphone jack to see if the cable was bad and got some sound at a low volume(cable works fine). Used the headphone jack direct to the speakers with an appropriate cable and that worked properly. Appears the AV port is no good. If something basic like that doesn’t work out if the box, I can only imagine what else isn’t going to work.

Posted .Hi Ross,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. The composite port on the TV is designed to be used for a video input, not audio output. If you want wanting to use external speakers or a soundbar, they can be connected via HDMI ARC, Optical Audio Out, or the Headphone jack. Hope this helps!

I'm just here to warn you: DON'T BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this exact TV a little over a year ago. It was in perfect condition and it just randomly died last night. It's totally gone. Just 3 months after the factory warranty expired too. What's worse is that I've read about many people that've had the EXACT thing happen to them. Right out of warranty. TCL's have a shiny exterior but they're very poorly made. I've never written a negative review in my life. I'm here just to warn you. Don't be fooled. Buy ANYTHING else.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for 13 months on the 14th month it completely went out. Absolutely don't buy this spend more moneyand get something that will last. I called the company and they said since it's two months out of warranty they couldn't do anything no credit nothing... There's a reason they are so inexpensive they don't last

Pick a different option or shop again next year!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv lasted 18 months and led light quit working. It’s cheaper to purchase a new tv than to fix this one. Also, fixing will not insure you won’t have to do it again in a year. Hope this helps someone else. I won’t comment on the company, quality of product seem telling enough.

TCL Roku Theft
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TCL – Roku TVs a year ago I bought a TCL TV at Best Buy that was advertised as Roku ready. A year later the TV locked up. And the only way to reactivate it is to BUY a Roku account. I am out over $400 for this TV, unless I buy a Roku account.

Posted .Hello,
It is completely free to activate the TV, and completely free to create a Roku account. I am afraid it looks like you accidentally went to the wrong website for activation, and somehow went to a scam website. As I said, it is completely 100% free to activate your TV. If you would like help setting up your TV we would be more than happy to walk you through the process. Simply reach out to us at [email protected] with your contact information and a description of what you need help with. Someone will get back to you as soon as they can.
