    Right out of the box the screen was distorting when playing a show or running one of the apps. The picture was great from what I was able to see and the sound was great. Wound up returning it and getting a different brand.

    I have now owned this TV for just over 8 months. I had purchased it to mount as a bedroom TV, so I was just looking for something reliable with a decent picture and solid quality. Sadly, this is the worst TV I have ever purchased. If I could have returned it during the return period, I would have, but Covid restrictions made that difficult at the time. The Roku platform on this set lags at least once a day and when turning it on it takes a good minute or two to connect to the internet...this is even with the TV plugged directly into a google wifi router. I switched the TV to the quick startup mode where it stays turned on in a low power state and maintains the internet connection and that helps some. However, numerous times a day it says it is having buffering issues and forced me to leave the program I am watching to run the internet connection check, which of course always comes back as having a connection. I have Fios Gigspeed and no other TV's or devices have this issue. For comparison, the Sony X950G and the Q60 Samsung Tv's I have, never experience these problems and clearly must have far superior network cards in them because they bring in 5 times the speed of this TV whether it is using wireless or is directly connected to a router. It really is baffling and makes no sense. I understand this is not a TV on the same level as those, but I would be better off putting a fire stick in a 10 year old LG TV. The picture is mediocre and often stutters as people move across the screen. Also, watching sports is quite unenjoyable on this TV. I just purchased two more TV's to put in my man cave and I made sure to stay away from TCL. I can not recommend purchasing this TV.

    Worst TV purchase I ever made. Avoid TCL!!!

    TCL s*uks big time! This brand is total cr@p and I will NEVER buy this brand again. In the beginning this TV was very quirky when used in conjunction with my Apple TV. Sound had strange issues where it sometimes went silent during brief time intervals during the dialog in movies (soundbar connected with HDMI ARC using modern supported cable). But a little over a year, I get to the "best part" of this awful experience with this TV. The LED back-light panel has gone out. Searching online I see MANY others complaining about the exact same problem. The LED backlights have a true quality issue and the vendor DOES NOT CARE that they are selling this unreliable junk. There is a good reason this TV IS SO CHEAP, it is NOT quality. I have a huge piece of 500 dollar junk to get rid of now. :( Boo, TCL.

    3 months in and the HDMI ports are not recognizing devices. After looking on TCL website they suggest contacting the companies of the other devices. Both my cable box and Xbox stop working on the same day according to this rational.

    2 Star because the TV was so cheap and because it fried itself on the second day. Glad it happened so quickly instead of waiting for the warranty to expire. I would recommend buying the 6 series for a couple hundred dollars more.

    I returned this tv. Didn't care for it at all. Couldn't get the sound and voice to match half the time without having to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in.

    At first it was great, I had no complains however I’ve only had this tv for a month as of today. And it’s starting to act up. It’s terrible for movies. The screen always gets blurry during action scenes, or transitioning scenes. The only thing this tv is really good for is gaming. Not recommended for movies at all. Very disappointed.
