Faulty tv

Not Best Buy’s fault but TCL.

Our TVs are carefully designed and engineered to give our customers years of entertainment. Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. We will continue to make improvements to ensure our customers the best experience possible.

Don’t waste your money

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Straight out of the box, began re-booting itself every 1-2 hours then 30-40 minutes, then 8-20 minutes. Re-did all settings back to factory and still had major re-boot issues. Returned.

Garbage

New 5 series

TCL, Hisense and Vizio were on the list as best budget TV. Solid picture, Dolby vision automatically kicks in with Netflix and the speakers sound good. A lot of comments where that the speakers were trash. I guess they fixed that problem. Also for the price the best tech guys have said the picture is better than the BIG 3 low models. The TV adjust to the broadcast of whatever you're watching and wnat its broadcasted in. I have no complaints. TCL is extremely underrated.

Budget TV Sleeper - low price and big punch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After adjusting the following, I feel out of my chair and can't believe this price. Seen the 55" display at BB, looked over saturated. RTings didn't spend much time evaluating - I knew it was a sleeper because of 190 watt listed for the 65" and I verified with TCL because articles are vague on the 2019 S525 series. TCL back lit the 2019, brighter, 4 HDMI, auto switch to game mode and same features as the R615/617 except it doesn't have the local dimming. I purchased the 65" just prior to Christmas, out of the box looked over saturated (oh I got nervous, awe your kidding me) and is due to brightness level, I backed off 5 to 8 depending on SDR, HDR or DV. Times I never have to reduce the back light less then 15. And oh my word there's enough lighting to make all the detail pop in 4K HDR or DV. To dark a setting will mask/mute the finer detail. Remember the TV's up converting is only as good as the broadcasting it receives - I don't have cable so local majority of channels, well I can't use my choice word here. In SDR I backed brightness 45, the back lite 90, set to Normal, Low Power, Warm. Of course your taste may be different. Hopefully TCL will bring a update backing the brightness level out of the box, plugging in and BB display sure isn't doing the S525 series justice with the look of over saturation.

Worst “Smart” TV Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst “smart” tv I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. This TV is not a luxury it is a burden. Please do not buy this TV or any tv from TCL. From day 1 my TV’s remote only worked from about 2 feet away. This was not a problem at first because my tv was extremely close to where I viewed it. This TV would also constantly disconnect from my Wifi in between uses for no apparent reason. I have not been able to figure out why this is. The remote problem was actually a problem with the infrared receiver in the TV itself. Now, I’ve rearranged the room the TV is in and now the remote problem is extremely annoying. I hate this TV and I hate TCL. DO NOT BUY THIS TV OR ANY TV FROM TCL. DO NOT IGNORE ANY OF THE BAD REVIEWS LIKE I DID!!!!!!!!

Broke after 6 months!

The power board failed and when this happened it ruined the lcd screen and TCL says warranty does not cover it...they say the screen was physically damaged by me! Now I have a 65 inch paperweight....Look at other sets...buyer beware!
