    Was happy with my purchase for a handful of months but the picture started freezing on me and a screeching sound would come out of the speakers. Geek squad replaced main board and screen went bad after that. Had to set up a return

    The picture was great but something popped when it was first plugged in and now it consistently smells like something is burning.

    Bought open box but Condition is not good

    Bought open box tv from foxpoint, didnt come with stand(legs) or remote. Bought those and set it up only yo find more scratches in the bootom of tv. Now it becomes difficult to return tv(as i have invested the money. Not many options provided by customer support, they said manager from best buy store will call me yet to receive any callback. So not good customer service.

    Constantly freezes

    Constantly freezes, shuts off, no audio or terrible feedback. Can barely make it through an episide wo having to restart the tv, sometime multiple times. TV is 3 months old and barely works.

    This TV is just okay. The picture is just overall too cool/blue. There are very limited options to correct finer picture settings. Ended up going with the Hisense U8H ... world of difference and a plethora of options to fine tune picture to near perfection.

You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, expert picture settings, and more.     Easy set-up and operation. Seamless transition from antenna to streaming. Picture is crisp and clear. Sometimes while streaming video and audio, the audio doesn't keep synced with the video. Easily corrected but annoying. Also this model doesn't have PIP, which i could use for Sunday football. My mistake for missing that when I purchased it.

    I bought the TCL 65R655 & I'm impressed! I've had none of the issues that others have reported. Unpacking was simple & with help of a friend I had it unboxed & hung on my existing stand in 20 minutes. I had it hooked into my onkyo receiver, my Samsung blu-ray player to the TV & connected to wifi in another 10 minutes. With a couple of quick adjustments the pic displayed was incredible. Now my 43" Samsung in the bedroom looks tiny by comparison & the picture while good, can't compare. This is an excellent TV for under $1,000! ** So after several months with this TV, I still can't complain. No noises like others have mentioned. Maybe once a week at the most the Roku system locks up, but only once did I need to restart the TV. Picture & sound quality differs amongst the channels I stream & I stream all my content. Speakers are a week point, so either add a sound bar or connect to a surround system like I did.

    I've had the tv for a few weeks and it's fantastic. It got top reviews from several electronics gurus and they were right, it's a great tv. The tv rated higher is the LG C2 mid range tv and it costs about $1600. Quite a bit more than my TCL Roku 65" 6 series at around $950. Im just really suprised at how much better the picture quality is and the gaming quality. The detail is so good I've started making a list of actors who just aren't ready for a ultra high definition closeup.

    I have the roku version and the streaming service is constantly unwatchable, the picture turns into a pixelated mess and i have to go into the menu and reset the tv 2 to 10 times to get the streaming service to work right again, doesnt matter what app, netflix, hulu, disney, it unbelievably sucks and is extremely frustrating. its been like this since the first week i had it. Ive factory reset it, reset the network, reset the t.v. over and over again. The picture quality is amazing but the roku streaming part absolutely sucks. I even upgraded to the fastest 500mb internet service they have and i bought a new $300 router, wired, wireless, it still does it, all other devices in my house work flawless. I get 530mb download speeds on my xbox, Im extremely dissapointed in the smart tv portion of the set. It looks great off the xbox x but the tv's onboard streaming looks better if it would only work consistantly, if you plan on benging tons of streaming television shows you may want to pass on this set.

    I research the crap out of everything I buy. For picture quality and features I don't know how you can find a better value. I had a 55" and just bought this 65". Minimal tweeking required to get an excellent picture. You might be able to get a slightly better pic with OLED if you want to spend more and risk burn in. I'm happy with my choice.

    Decent TV but not worth the $1100 I paid for it

    TV showed decent picture quality. Netflix app would crash ever so often overall but tv just went black out of nowhere. Bought the TV Nov. 6, 2022 and it went out on April 29, 2025 so it didn’t even last me 3 years.

    We love this tv and got a great price with an open-box deal in excellent condition. The only complaint is that it was supposed to include the remote and it was missing, but for the price I didn’t mind buying the remote.

    Originally bought the 65r646 in November. That one had terrible dirty screen effect and terrible color uniformity on the left 1/3 of the screen. Should have returned it, but glad I didnt. Contacted TCL about the screen and they just sent me a brand new 65r655 as a warranty replacement. It looks amazing! No issues with the screen, thank God. It seems more responsive then the 646, and the tuner gets a lot more channels over the air using the same antenna. Cant believe i suffered with the bad screen for 4 months. Thank you TCL for taking care of your customer.
