I like it. I want to love it. But.....

I spent roughly three months going over reviews picking out which Tv I would like to buy. I got sold on this one due to the options, great reviews it had, and the very few bugs stated that it might have. I decided and bought on Tv I got home I ended up doing a warranty return as the screen would randomly flicker when HDMI was plugged in. Now keep in mind, I mainly have a computer plugged in and use the Tv as a monitor. But I also tried a DVD player, PS3, Chromecast, it would still randomly flicker, no matter which input I used or device. I have spent a total of about 6 hrs on TCL support doing various troubleshooting on top of hours spent on my own, with no resolution that would fix the random flicker issue. The second TCL support person (out of three) said that this Tv is mainly a streaming Tv and they can't guarantee the HDMI would work as intended.... what??? (insert head scratching confusion here) Warranty return through Geek Squad was a breeze and they were super helpful, way to go Geek Squad! Replacement set worked great for the first month and a half, and I thought I got a lemon the first time around. But to my dismay, slowly the flicker has been returning, which is a real bummer. Even in the time to write this, it's already flickered three times, and that's just to get here. It won't flicker when using any of the streaming apps, only when using HDMI. Don't get me wrong, the picture, when not flickering is incredible! I love the richness of color, the low lag, the crispness, all of the features, it really is an amazing Tv! Just really, really wish the random flickering in HDMI would stop. It makes watching movies and gaming really hard to enjoy. Some days it won't do it at all, and other days it's really, really bad (like 3-10 times an hr, and screen will go black for 1-2 seconds, or loose signal all together sometimes. If you game, that's long enough to lose a game). My computer is no slouch either, running an 12th gen i7 with 3090ti and a $60 high speed 4k HDMI cable, and it works fine on my other Tv, so I know it's not the computer. Overall... I still like this Tv. I want to Love it. I want to give it more stars. But I can't in good faith give it more stars, or recommend, unless the only thing you will be doing is using the apps. The HDR, Dolby Vision, and crispness is just so good! Even when using the computer, when it's having a good day. I'm still holding out hope that a future update will address the flickering issue as I don't have the money to get a different Tv. So if all you need is a Tv for app streaming, this Tv is it! The Roku app is user friendly, it has a fast processor, a great remote, and amazing picture quality! Just that darn flicker issue... it's real, and it sucks!

The TV is fantastic. It is a great bang for your buck. You can get great hdr in the middle of the day. The refresh rate makes gaming look great. 4K movies look good too. I do have to take a couple stars off though because I bought it and it came with dark spots on the screen. I thought they were smudges or a line of dust and they weren’t super noticeable until I ran a screen test YouTube video. Then it became impossible not to notice. It’s bothered me every time I use the TV now.

The TV displayed a flaw, a dark quarter of the screen after a weeks use... Best Buy upgraded us to a Sony for a small fee, and it's been rock solid. I still stand by TCL as a budget value brand, but they were out of stock to replace mine, so the upgrade was my only option.

Tv was ok picture was blurry. I did love the size it was an upgrade but picture quality was pretty low. In fairness this was supposed to be an upgrade from a sony but the picture quality did not measure up to sony quality. Entry level wise it was good bargain tv just make sure to get on special.

Has a great picture is the best thing i can say about it. Sound quality is horrible. It looses network connection nearly everynite and has to be reset. There is limited hook ups so if you have game consoles forget it.

I read many reviews for best 65” smart tv. TCL was at the top of most of them. I own 3 of these, various sizes, two are series 5. Our main tv, which I had just replaced because the TCL 65” series 4 was damaged and could not be repaired, was a TCL 65” Class 6 4K QLED Smart Roku TV. Again, this model is rated very highly by the rating groups. We are avid movie watchers, and this tv has very noticeable blur during fast action. Both my wife and I picked up on this during our first viewing. I am returning for a similar Samsung model with faster refresh rate.

This TV is just okay. The picture is just overall too cool/blue. There are very limited options to correct finer picture settings. Ended up going with the Hisense U8H ... world of difference and a plethora of options to fine tune picture to near perfection.

Decent TV but not worth the $1100 I paid for it

TV showed decent picture quality. Netflix app would crash ever so often overall but tv just went black out of nowhere. Bought the TV Nov. 6, 2022 and it went out on April 29, 2025 so it didn’t even last me 3 years.

Replacing after less than 1yr. Consistent audio issues with HDMI, Optical, and even built-in speakers. Goes static or full distortion and only resolved after full power reset. TCL dispatched a tech a few times to swap parts with no improvement (last round made it worse).
