    TV has great picture quality, awesome for next gen gaming, Roku is great. I want to give this TV a 5 star review, however after a few weeks of owning it some quality issues appeared. The panel that displays the picture itself, the screen, started separating from the frame of the TV. It seems to be getting worse as time passes. Leaves a pretty ugly, irritating white glow coming from the side of the TV that is especially apparent at night. Have also noticed a little bit of screen tearing here and there on certain content, worried that it may get worse with time as I’ve only had the tv a month and a half. TCL customer service indicated that “physical damage” is not covered under warranty, and declined to repair. All in all, buyer beware the honeymoon phase, TV looks like a great value but you seem to roll the dice on quality control. $1,000+ TV shouldn’t be literally falling apart a month after purchase.

    TCL Series 5 4K Roku Smart TV is a Winner

    We bought this 65 inch TCL series 5 TV as a gift for our daughter and son-in law. It is the third QLED TCL 4K smart TV we have bought in the past 2 years. The colors are vibrant and the picture quality is excellent. The Roku software is easy to navigate and we love it. We would purchase this TV again.

    Order TV online and was impressed with ease of ordering. Arranged for customer pickup outside store. TV was available when promised, and delivered/loaded into my vehicle within several minutes of my arrival at store. TV not yet hooked up, so I can't confirm how it operates/ Very impressed and satisfied with my Best Buyer experience.

    After lots of research, I decided to make a switch from being a long-time Samsung fan to trying something new. And I’m glad I did! I was debating between TCL and Sony. Obviously Sony has a long history and plenty of experience in the TV game. But I couldn’t get past the idea that so much of the Sony price tag is paying for the name itself. This particular TCL TV gets extremely high marks across many review categories. For the price point, it’s nearly impossible to beat. The value-adds really helped sell it for me, too. Heck, TCL even gives you a FREE app (“iPQ Calibration”) to further calibrate YOUR particular screen within your room. Who else does that for their customer?! It’s easy to use and made a measurable improvement in an already amazing display. I really don’t have any lasting cons at this point. I initially had some DSE, primarily in the center of the display. But I read that it generally disappears after several hours of on-time. I can confirm this was the case for me and it’s looking super now! It’s well with the price, lives up to expectations, and is shaking things up by adding more competition in the TV market. Definitely recommended from my experience!

    I got the 5 series first and sent it back. It was ok. Not a bad tv but this one absolutely blows my mind. Such a good decision. It honestly looks like I have a $2000 tv. I’m blown away by the dynamic range and the details. And the speakers actually sound decent!! You can use an app to calibrate the color. Super nice feature.

    After reading all the reviews and watching videos reviewing this TV, it seemed to be the best value for the money. Set up was fairly easy, although it doesn't seem to be compatible with my Shield TV remote or my Harmony Hub. The picture is fantastic. I haven't used the Roku features as I run everything through my Shield.

    BLUF: I don't recommend this TV. I have owned this TV for 6 months (Purchased October 2020) and it has been nothing but trouble. I have the code to reset memorized and that is never a good sign. For those that don't know, reset using the following code will clear up some issues: Hit: Home button 5 times Up button 1 time Rewind button 2 times Fast fwd button 2 times The tv will run through a process taking about 3-5 minutes and then all the issues mentioned below, with the exception of item #2 , will resolve. The issues I continually have with this TV: 1. Sound: Sometimes it sounds as if the sound is coming from a bassy echo chambers and other times the sound is so weak and tinny that I can't hear anything and have to turn the volume up to a high level. Constantly having to reset. 2. Control: Sometimes I cannot turn the tv off with the remote or the tv just doesn't respond to the remote. Batteries are fine. I have to unplug and plug back in to resolve the issue. 3. Connection: Even though my internet is working fine, I cannot connect to get a show to start. I have to unplug and plug back in or reset to get it to work. Bottom line; very disappointed in this tv. The tv this replaced is over 11 years old and I never had an issue with it. This thing is going to die before I finish paying it off.

    Good so far, im sure if you pay more they get better but its 80% better than the plasma we had and for the money I still enjoy looking at it on my wall

    This TV is awesome. The picture is super bright and the 4K clarity is equal to any TV I saw on display costing hundred's more. The Roku remote is simple to use and when used with the Roku Mobile app, negotiating the options is quite simple. Very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this TV .

    Even for a cheap brand tcl is competing with big name brands Samsung Sony , would definitely recommend to any one looking for 65 inch tv to buy this one beautiful picture quality nice Roku system free tv channels and movies for the kids ….

    We have had two screen failures. The first time, the backlight panel wouldn't light and it took two full weeks for TCL to send someone to repair it (opened it up and replaced a large PCB assembly). For the second, no apps will play HDR or DolbyVision content (Amazon, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Youtube). It has been 10 days since I asked TCL for a refund and they have not resolved the issue or refunded me. Today I asked for another refund. The TV is within the 1-year warranty period. It is disappointing that Best Buy knowingly carries such poor quality products and provides no option to return them to the store. Will purchase major appliances and big-ticket items elsewhere in the future.
