    The picture looks great, but it has serious sound and picture sync problems. When you watch a movie, you hear what people say and then you watch them say it. Very jarring! You can fix some of these problems by disabling certain features and going into "game mode" but this only fixes some of the problems.

    Hassle

    Had issues with it staying connected to WIFI, then had issues with sound, then had issues where it would randomly not play certain content on Netflix, HBO Max, etc. And the solution to everything is unplug it and plug it back in - not exactly easy when you have to unmount the tv to access the plug

    This Television is horrible. Worst decision I could have made. The remote is super slow to open changed the batteries multiple times and nothing. Called to exchange but Customer service is not allowing us to do so. Even with the warranty. I hate the tv. The remote is the biggest problem

    Restarts itself randomly, no fix

    Absolutely horrible TV! We hadn't even had the TV for 3 days before the problems began. We tried everything to make it work because boxing up a tv, loading it up, and returning it was not something we wanted to do. The second day after setting it up, the TV turned itself off and when I turned it back on there was no sound and the screen was black. I turned it off and back on again and it worked. Then this happened in a different fashion 5 times within 7 days with the exception of the screen turning black. The tv would just randomly turn itself off and restart itself. I googled to see if others experienced these kinds of problems and I found many complaints. Therefore, after troubleshooting everything within our capabilities, we decided to return it and I am super happy that we did.

    Vertical banding issue. Gaming bad, movies good.

    Apps work great. Had a lot of issues with getting the sound working correctly with my receiver. Do not leave it on Auto or Passthrough. Display was great at first but over the last couple of months there is a lot of vertical banding. Its so bad I'm considering returning it. Regular TV and Movies it isn't that bad but gaming it looks absolutely terrible.

    No TCL For Me

    After 1 week speakers sounded muffled like when a speaker is blown or bad so we used our sound bar. Later in day started working again. Returned and paid the additional money for upgrade to the 8 Series. Set up new TV Friday evening watched Saturday morning. Late Saturday afternoon (not even 24 hrs) no picture black screen. Researched troubleshooting as I sat for 45 min waiting for tech support and finally hung up. Tried all tips still no picture then randomly after 45 minutes it came on. We have had the 8 Series for 1 week and have gotten the black screen 3 times. Return pickup is scheduled and refund issued.

    From the first day I bought it the Remote does not work. I waited some time in hopes it would improve but the Roku app remote does not work either. Wish I would’ve never bought. Do not waste your money.

    Very slow and laggy

    This tv was UI was very slow. Very laggy for games wouldn't recommend if you plan on gaming. Its decent for movies and tv. I returned it for a LG C1 Oled. There's better options than this tv for 100-300 more.

    I think it's going dead

    It worked fine for 11 months. Now it flickers and goes unresponsive often. Other times it goes dark with a vignette as if it's about to go dead

    First ROKU TV ever. . .lasted 6 months!

    My TV lasted almost exactly 6 months. Without warning, the bottom half of the screen turned mostly gray in a horizontal line with colored streaks and pixels in it. Best Buy only offers 15 days on electronics, so I am trying my luck with seeing what TCL will do about this issue. I have already been online with support and they have walked me through every possible reset and remedy that they know of, to no avail. I am NOT very happy with my FIRST Roku TV!

    Something Wrong

    I really liked the TV, but something was wrong right out of the box. The picture would blink every few seconds and the sound would cut out. BB to pick up & replace with LG. Great Best Buy service though.

    Have enjoyed this tv for 14 months, then Iheard a pop and it powered off, never to return. Buy the extended warranty, or spend more on something built better.
