I was torn between this or a samsung of the same price range, and chose this one. An overall good tv with some annoying things. When you turn the TV on it turns your surround sound on. Not a bad thing. But when you don't want to use it, and the surround sound turns off. The tv looses signal to what you are currently watching for 5 seconds. Minor annoyance.

Screen failure in less than 2 years

We had Best Buy install it (appropriate surge protectors and the like). It worked like a charm with good color and definition until last week, we turned it on and the screen was black. As far as we can tell, there was not intervening event to explain the sudden failure. After checking all of the electrical connections (plugs, outlets, electrical box, etc.) and resetting the TV (with the help of TCL's customer care service), nothing helped. True, we did not buy an extended warranty, but we've never had a problem before and one would expect more than a year and a half usage. TCL basically said, too bad. They are within their rights, but this doesn't say much for their product. We certainly will not be replacing the TV with a TCL product.

Great TV, Fantastic Deal

We’d bought the 55” version last fall and are quite pleased with it. This 65” TV is also a great performer. These are likely all sold out by now at Best Buy. Read the reviews for the 2018 6 Series TCL and if you find one with a good price buy it. Thank you Best Buy in my hometown for selling me this TV at such a great price. Outstanding performance and value.
