Beware!

After the software update the backlight does not come on when the TV is powered on. We have to unplug the TV and plug it back in every single time we want to watch TV. I reached out to TCL Support and tried the troubleshooting they suggested which did not resolved the issue. Since my TV is now out of warranty I’m basically stuck buying a new one. I love the Roku platform but will never buy another TCL TV and I would not recommend that anyone buy this TV at any price.

Won't Turn on after 2.5 years.

I spent almost $1000 on this and for it to last not even three years is awful. We are out of warranty now too. I'd do a hard pass on this TV.

Our TVs are carefully designed and engineered to give our customers years of entertainment. Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.
