Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the 65" Class 6 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV, particularly its picture quality, price, and Roku operating system. Many customers rave about the superb 4K HDR picture quality and find that it offers great value for the price. The Roku OS is also widely praised for its user-friendly interface and rich HDR content. However, there are some concerns about the remote control's quality and the TV's durability, with a few customers reporting issues such as vertical banding and a short lifespan.

Incredible value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is a great value for a little under 1k. The roku OS is very easy to navigate and use and works well. 4K content looks incredible with inky blacks and amazing HDR color contrast. The bezel is gorgeous, metallic and almost wood looking. My wife loves it. Highly recommend

Good features, questionable quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my new apartment and was really excited after reading mostly positive reviews. I really liked the picture quality, at least in the center of the screen, and the HDR is nice. Setting up a LG soundbar took a few minutes to figure out. The manual for the sound bar helped much more than the TV manual. Also, enabling HDR for PS4 games required manually changing the input to HDMI 2.0 (rather than 1.4) and this wasn't clearly explained anywhere ("Auto" setting didn't work, even with a premium HDMI cable). The main issue I had is that I quickly noticed some screen issues on the edges and corners. While I didn't notice vertical banding, there is obvious corner vignetting (darker corners). Changing screen brightness seems to have no effect on reducing this. As a result, I will probably exchange or return this. It's a huge hassle to repackage and return such a large TV but I can't live with the dark corners for the next 5+ years. The Digital Trends review on YouTube shows this issue very clearly. I had a 4k 65" Sony Bravia from 2015 which has no issues at all and was only about $1500. It is kind of disappointing to spend $1k on any tv to have this sort of quality issues. I am sure the good reviews are well-earned, for the portion of their screens that have minimal issues. Just hope you don't lose the screen lottery. I am hesitant to exchange this because I feel like I'm taking a chance to get an even worse screen, so might just get a refund.

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read all the reviews about the great picture quality for the low cost of the TV. You would be hard put to find a better picture without going into the OLED TV's. Have had zero issues thus far. The Roku interface is great as usual.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't generally write these reviews, I've had an LG and a Samsung, but the two greatest things about this TV, is well it's a Roku and streaming is awesome but unlike the LG and Samsung this TV also has awesome 5.1 sound. I have a marantz sound system with Klipsch speakers and the only way I could get 5.1 sound was only through some of my streaming services like Netflix and it wasn't anywhere nearest good as this Roku. The picture quality is also pretty good, but for the price you can't beat this TV..Roku definitely offers the best streaming device of any TV I've ever owned..

Easy Set-up, Great Colors and Black Depth
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I had to reverse the legs because of our space. Easy and perfectly stable. My Yamaha sound bar looks like it was designed to fit between them. And you NEED an outside speaker because the TV's sound is its only big drawback. It also will NOT get deafeningly loud. But the sounbar sounds far better than with my previous TV. Set-up took 90 seconds and we were in business. I've had numerous Rokus for years and it works great. Some tweaks need to be made on the remote (using asterisk and arrows) WHILE others are made in the Roku app itself, such as designating inputs for each device, setting up sound options, etc. Nothing too complicated. If you DO wanted to really get complicated, some advanced settings are only available by downloading a Roku app to your phone or tablet. Most folks probably will never bother with these. One note: the colors pop so much, that we oldies (71 And 77) had to tone it down.. Every site I read said to set the color level at 45. Too much for us. I turned it down to 42, then 40, then 38 and finally 35! The colors still are incredibly eye-popping, the contrast great. I was a bit concerned about motion. But, so far, watching football, tennis, too much baseball and a couple Jason Bourne movies, everything is copasetic. Fine. My neighbor across the street got the same size TV for twice as much two weeks earlier. Maybe soon, with more twiddling, he'll get his set looking as good!

Picture quality is amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 65” on sale for under $900. The build quality is great and has a premium look and feel. The picture quality is great and the TV can get really bright with HDR/Dolby vision even in a bright room. There is no better TV for the price.

Great decision
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to spend the extra money for the tcl 65" instead of one of the black friday deals. Very happy with my decision. The picture quality and refresh rate is a huge step up from my old 1080p. Very glad that i made the upgrade, and i really appreciate the game mode that allows for lower delay between a button press and action on screen. The built in speakers give a really full sound. I splurged on a soundbar eventually, but that was not necessary. Easy to mount with a sanus wallmount. I did need to buy special screws from lowes, sanus support had notes on file for what screws i should get. 10/10 would buy this tv again.

Really looking forward to this one!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The limited reviews of this TV have been real good so far. This is going to be the best bang-for-your-buck TV of 2018. TCL is building a good reputation. As soon as I can see one in the store I plan on upgrading. The demand is high and few stores have them available but you can grab one online. Waiting to see if the price of the Best Buy model (65R615) will drop by $50 since it has a less featured remote compared to the 65R617. This price difference can be seen in the 55" sizes. This TV will replace my 2011 Panasonic plasma in the near future.

Great Tech
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv has great picture quality and color. I like the sleek sliver framing. The technology is great for the price. I would have had to spent hundreds of dollars more to get the same tech.

Beautiful TV with the best software available
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is great. The picture is a stunner. I won't repeat any specs or make comparisons - go check out one of the hundreds of glowing professional reviews. But if you are getting a new TV, this one has all the tech you will need to still have support for all the modern stuff over the next 5-10 years. Better yet, with Roku built in, you get the very best user experience and the constant updates to the absolute best streaming system available. Finally, you will have a very hard time finding these specs, this size, with this software or anything comparable for a price at least 300$ more. Simply, this is THE TV to get at the moment.

A Wonderful TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading many reviews online, I was concerned about the panel quality; in particular, vertical banding and dirty screen effect. I was extremely pleased to find it the screen is almost perfectly even. Other than looking at a plain white screen, I could see no artifacts or defects. The colors really pop, and the interface is excellent. Much better than my Vizion P65-f1's. I hooked up my Apple TV and am basically using that. The TV has excellent motion handling qualities, and I saw no stuttering or judder, at all. I would highly recommend this TV, and am very pleased with this purchase

Incredible picture at a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV provides the kind of image quality normally found on sets costing much more (Sony x900f or Samsung Q6F). Black levels are very dark, and completely uniform on my set. Very fast response time make this a great set for gaming too. Nice use of brushed aluminum on the exterior, and I love the soft-glow of the power button which doubles as the IR sensor. Also, Roku TV is built into this set so you don't need to spend any extra $$$ on an Apple TV or Fire stick. After using a Chromecast for the last 5 years or so, the Roku TV is an absolute joy to navigate with the very latest Netflix and YouTube apps.

Totally surprised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been a Samsung customer since they first started making flat screens. I was really skeptical about going with a TCL because the picture on the smaller models looked cheap. But I decided to trust the CNET review and try this out. It’s a brilliant TV for the price. The Roku operation is good, but the picture is just terrific. Only downside is the sound performance is not amazing, but I do appreciate the voice boosting setting. After being a total skeptic, I’d buy it again in a minute.

Most Amazing budget tv!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heavily researched before buying. Certainly the best picture for under 1200! Really equal to most of the competitors, Samsung x6f / Sony X900f / Vizio P or P Quantum series (if you use it properly with good connections as you would with those other tvs. The picture in 4k on Netflix and amazon prime is sensational. Hopefully Comcast eventually gets there. Trying a UHD blu-ray probably looks even better and I may have to check that out just to see this amazing TV in its full glory.

Correction
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously stated that the TCL has 190 plus local dimming zones sorry I meant to say 120 and 96 on the 55’. Buy this tv if you can find it!! When I bought mine there wasn’t one for 250 miles!! Better jump on it when and if you see it, if not prefer it you will not be disappointed. All of our appliances are Samsung and I thought and researched the Samsung and was sold on the QLED but the more research I did and the more I saw videos about the TCL it was an easy decision. For me this is a great mid generation tv. Soon 8k will be flooding the market and the last time we upgraded our tv to set was 11 years ago. I can wait it out 11 years again with this set!! I played some PS4 Pro on it and let me tell you right now it’s unbelievable how good graphics are and the 12 or 14 millisecond lag if I’m not mistaken is excellent. I will be buying a smaller TCL this Black Friday for sure.

Great Roku Interface - Volume Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv mainly bc of the Roku interface. Decent picture. But volume issues. The volume on normal tv broadcast is fine. 25 level of 0-100. But when you switch to streaming, volume drops and have to crank it up pegging to 100 but still not enough. I went back and forth with TCL on this with luck. They sent a tech out and he replaced the board but still the same. TCL emails me and says it is operating normally. They sent replacement tv but the tech said it had the same symptoms. So I refused it. I am returning this tv. Beware people that the TCLs have a design flaw on the volume between broadcast and streaming. I have a Roku streaming device so I'll just hook that back up on the replacement tv - which will not be a TCL.

65" 6 Series Incredible Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start out wit a WOW, I presently have the TCL 55" 4 series in our bedroom. When I bought it my wife couldn't believe the picture in the 4 series. The 6 series blows the 4 out of the water. The picture quality is good enough that it seems the characters are in the living room with you and not on a screen.
