Amazing TV at half the cost.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV. After weeks of researching TVs on the internet I finally purchased this set and I’m so glad I did. The picture and performance is nothing short of amazing, rivaling or exceeding those costing twice or more as much. The Roku operating system is smooth, easy and full of features. The picture is only surpassed by OLED TVs costing two or more times as much and honestly only a handful of people would be able to tell the difference. Simply put, this TV is easily the best value on the market. So if you’re on a budget but, still want world class features and performance, then this is the TV you want to get.

Best budget 4KTV
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was baby's first 4K TV AND baby's first smart TV, but it's still massively impressive. Coming from a 1080p with a damaged upper panel, this upgrade is beautiful, and 65" is definitely the sweet spot for 4K. Planet Earth II looks unbelievable on this. However, there was still noticeable ghosting going on, I assume because of the "effective" 120hz framerate as opposed to higher-end true 120hz panels. For $400, though, you cannot beat this TV. Included Roku software was a breeze to set up and settings are easily configured.

Amazing Value, Great Picture, Fast Response
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this one over a year ago, and still feel it's the best deal going today. I'd have bought one twice as expensive if I would have thought it would have been better, but going over tons of reviews showed this was the standout of 2019 for sure. TV has been completely reliable. The Roku is quick and responds well. The picture is knock-your-socks off gorgeous, and the trim and body of the TV looks premium for a budget price. Got ARC working and switches seamlessly between inputs using the Roku interface. Honestly, couldn't be happier with this TV - recommend to everyone.

Excellent, best in class budget HDR10/Dolby TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 6 series TCL is unbeatable for the price with the spat fo recent deals, and is my recommended budget go to for those looking to get a TV capable of actually meeting some of the requirements for HDR10/Dolby at a budget. For settings I recommend using ISF Bright Room or Dark (If you have a very dark room only) otherwise bright room will suit most well. Then using normal color instead of warm. With my colorimeter and side by side comparison with my LG C9 which is nearly perfectly calibrated the warm color setting was simply too warm, and didn't display accurate colors/brightness.

Best Picture Quality for the Money Period!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After looking at all the reviews (suspiciously :) ) I decided to pull the trigger and buy this TV for my master bedroom. The picture quality is awesome for its price and when compared to its closest competitors its hands down the winner. Last year I purchased a Vizio P series, which cost me nearly double what I paid for the TCL by the way, and the picture on this TCL is brighter, the black level are deeper, and the color pop. I know its not an OLED but unless you got couple grand tucked away for TV this is well worth the money.

Best bang for under 1G
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking to get a 4k TV and want the best bang for your buck, this is the one to get! Great picture quality, and black levels that can almost rival OLEDs TVs for a third of the cost. Go ahead search Google about this TCL 6 Series, you'll see raving reviews. So far my TV has been great, only one weird little thing happen which kinda baffled me. 1 star deduction due to this reason, while switching from my Xbox1X HDMI 2.0 input select to OTA TV, my TV froze on me and then rebooted 3 times. I don't know what happened but when it looked like it was possessed it's kinda alarming.

Fantastic picture and value!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super sharp picture with great blacks and vibrant colors ... plus the fantastic ROKU smart TV system (hands down the best smart TV system or there, imo) at a price that's relatively gentle on the wallet. The picture compares favorably to the VIZIO P series that I installed for my parents for hundreds less. I'm REALLY happy with my research and purchase. Set up and mounting was really easy too ... Just needed the wife to place the unit on the wall mounts, and the system updates and configuring was a snap. (YouTube was a great resource for picture and sound setup tweaks!) I'm particularly impressed by the sound configuration, which includes a mode to boost dialogue. I was considering getting a sound bar and woofer, but it really doesn't need it for standard drama movies and TV shows. (Possibly because we're not big action movie buffs anyway.) Super happy ... definitely recommended.

Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good picture but not perfect and Roku interface is easy to use and quick. I read numerous reviews before deciding on this model and decided to take a chance because of the panel lottery (various issues). I did screen tests that confirmed what I was seeing. There is minor vignetting in the corners. However, this is usually not noticeable except in mostly solid light colored backgrounds. There was also minor dirty screen effect which I don't know why but has improved with usage. I watch a lot of sports and have been satisfied with the picture. Overall, a great television for the price.

It’s Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would prefer 75 - 86” screen. Otherwise it is all good. I like a little lighter stainless steel bezel also. I have one like that in another room and it looks better with decor. I reset contrast and brightness settings to get more wow factor pop for my guests. I need voice remote to impress anybody tho, really, because typing in the search is way slow. My phone is not available for using remote app, so don’t hand me that. I may order voice remote direct from ROKU. TCL doesn’t seem to know when they have a winning combo. They discontinued the voice remote. Going step backward to get the show on the road going forward.

So far so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I can't complaining. This was upgrading a 10 year old 3D TV. although it does look better than the old TV it doesn't really blow me away. It does look better and crispr than old TV so that is a plus. I can't compare this to top model such as Samsung and Sony but if you're in the market for top-end I would guess you're not looking at this TV I however will be keeping it. Xbox and Playstation play well on it although you have to manually set HDMI to 2.0 input for it to read HDR. The settings took a while to get it set just right internet searches are a help also c-net helps

I love this TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already have Roku devices on all my TVs, so it was nice to have it built in. I love the size and clarity of this TV. I'm planning to get surround sound, but the speakers aren't too bad either. Volume goes pretty high even with those hard to hear movie rentals. They have a default setting to emphasize speech which helps my dad. I'm not a TV or electronics connoisseur, just a regular person, but this does it for me. One warning, I had to pay the Geek Squad just to put the feet on and put in on the TV stand. It's super heavy and fragile (probably like anything else its size).

Died 4 months after warranty expired, worthless TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV in Sept 2019 (approximately 16 months ago). I did not purchase the extended warranty, because in my experience and per most recommendations, they are not needed. The TV had a good picture, was relatively inexpensive, and had the Roku system built in, all reasons why I purchased it. Fast forward to now, and the TV spontaneously will not power on, either with the remote or the button on the TV. I have been through all troubleshooting steps with TCL customer service and have bought replacement power cords to no avail, and they suggested taking it to a local repair shop. Of course, no one repairs these TV's, so 4 months after the warranty expired, it is useless and a total loss, and I will have to pay to have it disposed of. TCL never offered to give me partial credit on a new TV. I will never buy another TCL product again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Love my TCL!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so very happy that I purchased this tv! The price was great, compared to others, & so far, it has been amazing! Gorgeous color, very clear picture, lots of apps for different viewing. Since I never heard of this brand, I purchased the 5-year protection plan. Being a single female, I thought it would behoove me to get help from the Geek Squad. As far as professionalism goes, the Geek Squad is FANTASTIC!! They set up my new tv at a viewing angle that I was unaware of, and explained EVERYTHING in understandable detail! Great guys who took time to make sure I was totally happy! Thanks Geek guys!!

Great bargain ultra hd hdr tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a 50" vizio 1080p tv. Made sure to hook up a LAN cable for best streaming quality and bought some high end true 4k hdmi cables for it. Tv looks great, picture is fantastic and does it all. Sound quality is what you would expect from a standard flat screen, so a soundbar and woofer compliment it nicely. I'm very happy with my purchase and have recommended it to family and friends. Roku UI is very nice, and good for cord cutters. Only thing I would like is a 4th hdmi plug but that's me being picky and I have a switcher so I could always plug that into the third slot to open up 2 more slots.

A lot of value for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the 65" TCL UHD to replace our 55" LG UHD. We wanted the larger TV and had been dissatisfied with LG picture that seemed washed out in our brightly lit living room. We were skeptical of the TCL but the reviews were extremely positive and Best Buy's return policy gave us a chance to be sure it was what we wanted. We have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of this TV. The Roku interface is seamless and we are cable cutters. The Roku interface has worked so well that we have stopped using the Fire TV interface. Picture and sound are both more than adequate.

Best 65" 4k TV for the price!!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down best TV I've ever owned. The 4k picture quality is to die for. Very vivid colors and vibrant whites. It does a really good job at displaying blacks as well. I've compared this to similar TVs and the only ones I can sit it next to would be Samsung QLED TVs and even then for the price different the TCL knocks it outta the park. So if you are like me and need a 4k TV but save money in the process BUY THIS TV!!!

Excellent at Price with all necessary features
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are no complaints so far. It is excellent at the price it is being sold. Only thing wished for is 4 HDMI cable, considering 1 ARC occupied with Sound bar, you would have to adjust with 2 HDMIs. It is very easy to use and no different than Roku's normal lending page and interface. PS4 games looks sharp (though it is at 1080p because of PS4). If you are looking for 4K without hefty price tag than this is TV. One important point - It is quite heavy, consider 2 adults when it is being setup.

Good TV, but a few annoyances
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will preface this review by stating that we were upgrading from a 40-inch Sony TV that was a dozen years old. The picture quality, immediately, was stunning. The details and depth of picture were outstanding! We didn't have any issue with the sound, either, but we're not audiophiles. Having the three HDMI slots is nice, as is the 3.5' audio jack for headphones since the remote control (which feels pretty flimsy) does not have the audio jack built into it like the Roku 3+ models. I know people say that you can use the Roku app on your phone, and headphones there, but I always (literally, every single time) experienced a delay between picture and sound which made this option not work for me. I currently use a 20 or 30-foot long headphone cable extender which works perfectly. My biggest criticism, however, is that the native Roku apps do not work nearly as well as they do on the actual Roku device. There are near constant delays between button press and corresponding response on the TV set; plus, streaming content (e.g. Netflix, Roku) buffers a bit whenever you pause and resume playback, and the buffering is especially bad when you attempt to fast-forward, rewind, jump back, etc... and resume playback. It's annoying and frustrating enough where, while the set is a significant upgrade over the TV we're replacing, I can't help but wonder if another brand, coupled with the actual Roku device, might be a better option for us. For the price, I can only give it an average rating (which makes me sad, because I really did want to like this TV).
