Admittedly, this is my first 4K tv purchase, but I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m not in a position to spend a ton of money on a tv, but the picture and features on this one make me feel like I did!

I've had this TCL 65" 6 Series for 3 months and it is ALL good!! The picture colors are at least equivalent to tv's that are far more expensive. This TV CAN NOT BE BEAT IN ITS CLASS!!

This is the first 4k TV I have purchased. I have an XBOX one X and thought it was time to make the jump. I was undecided between the Vizio P series, Sony 850 and the Sony 900e and the Samsung Quantum Dot models. Then I started reading about the TCL tv and how the specs compared to the other TV's on the list. I then went into the local store figured why not give the TCL a try even though I have always been a Sony, Sharp, Samsung guy. So my TV arrives and I get it home and hooked up and I was honestly very surprised how the picture looked through the XBOX One X. It was amazing and I the realized maybe this was going to be a great purchase. I then got on the internet to look and see how other people were setting up the tv settings to match up with the XBOX and found that some buyers were having issues where you could see the LED bands through the picture on white or gray screens. I immediately went into a screen with a grayish background and sure enough I can see vertical bands of LED's throughout the whole screen. I wanted so much to like this TV and call it a great purchase however I will be returning this TV and getting something else. I will likely not ever choose another TCL product.

I just purchased the TCL 65” 615r. The picture is absolutely amazing. I am so happy with this purchase. And it cost less than a grand. Watching football is just like you are there!

This is the TCL 65R615 which does not come with the voice remote control. Expected this to go for 949.99 since that's what all the reviews were expecting but charged the same as the TCL 65R617 which has the voice remote. Both TVs are the same but if you want the voice remote, you'll need to look elsewhere like someplace that sells from A to Z

I bought this tv because of the price. I paid 700 at another location. I returned it because the color was off plus I ran into some inappropriate programming that offended me. So happy my children weren't around for that. I purchased a sharp instead in which the sharp 65 inch was around the same price with roku and the picture was excellent. Wish I could have kept it but for that type of hard working money I must get my monies worth.

Great value! Less than $1000 for a TV that compares to other TVs that cost twice as much! Very sleek and aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Great picture quality. I am very happy with my purchase. Remote is a bit basic for my liking but of course gets the job done.

This is the most expensive tv I have ever bought. But with the size, picture quality, and built in Roku I am very satisfied.

lasted just under 5 years then turned off and can not turn on. probably some internal power failure or motherboard failure. TV had great reviews but appears i got a lemon.

Our house is now the go-to for sports and gaming for the boys. The optics are vivid. A great crowd pleaser!

Fantastic tv!. I can't believe how good the picture is and the smart tv is very quick to load.

Bought this after reading glowing reviews on CNET, etc. Some HDR content looked pretty good at first, but something was not quite right, and I couldn't put my finger on it. I tried recommended settings from rtngs.com, Consumer Reports, and CNET, but it still didn't look right to me, and SDR content was just plain awful. So I bought a calibration disk (Disney WOW), and this revealed vertical banding, which was quite apparent on a solid background. It also failed miserably on the scaling test. I returned the set.

I turned and the picture was outstanding useing it with factory settings.

Great TV and Picture quality for price. Has been working great but it has stopped working with after couple of years with Power failure and will not start tv after recent update.

For the price and build quality it's okay. I'm not going to smash and bash although I wasn't happy and returned it. I had no banding or dead pixel issues. Rather MY problem was lack of brightness, sharpness, and the wow factor viewing 4K. I adjusted the settings to the best possible, ran side by side simultaneous tests with my current 65" Samsung 1080. On regular 1080 video the Samsung was the clear winner. On 4K the TCL preformed equal to the Samsung (which was 1080) and on occasion slightly better but barely noticeable. Since the majority of broadcast & streaming is still in 1080, I'm sticking with my Samsung which gave sharper, crisper videos. My decision doesn't make the TCL a bad tv, it's just not for me but still a good tv and value.

This TV is amazing, the Roku integration is outstanding they have pretty much any application you need and the remote phone app is outstanding. The TV quality is also magnificent TCL prices won’t be this low for long I’m glad I took the risk! I have “NO RAGRETS” lol

Decent picture but likes to freeze and randomly reboot itself

Maybe I’m a TV snob, but I bought this as a replacement for 7+ year old high end plasma that my kids broke. I did the research and ordered this TV based on the high reviews. I’ve had it for 4 days now and I’m thinking I’m going to have to return it. Maybe I’m a TV snob, but compared to my other TV’s in the house watching the same stuff and the soap opera effect is noticeable and the blacks look rainbowish. I was really hoping based on the reviews that I would get a nice TV and 1/3rd the price of the high end stuff and it would be fine. I’m thinking I was wrong. I guess you really do get what your willing to pay for.

My son bought the 65R615 model from Best Buy a month before I did. His TV's picture is flawless. Based on his experience - and my own firsthand observation - I purchased the identical model. Unfortunately my TV suffers from a well-documented issue with TCL TVs - "vertical banding." Unfortunately, I waited too long to act and ended up outside of BB's 15-day return policy and was forced to lodge a complaint with TCL "customer support" (quotes intended.) TCL had never heard of the issue - and by default - apparently never heard of Google Search either. I am now stuck with this $1K travesty. My suggestion: Stick with South Korean products (LG, Samsung). This is my first - and last - foray into the Chinese TV marketplace.
