Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the 65" Class 6 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV, particularly its picture quality, price, and Roku operating system. Many customers rave about the superb 4K HDR picture quality and find that it offers great value for the price. The Roku OS is also widely praised for its user-friendly interface and rich HDR content. However, there are some concerns about the remote control's quality and the TV's durability, with a few customers reporting issues such as vertical banding and a short lifespan.

Does not work with Xbox One

Dolby Vision does not work with Xbox One X: Direct statement from TCL support. This is why I personally bought this TV, it was to have this feature for future releases. Also already returned one for an exchange because it had backlight issues that would create white glowing areas during dark scenes.

      Hello ExpertReviewAVR001,

This TV does work with Xbox One, and does support Dolby Vision. In October, Microsoft released an update enabling Dolby Vision support on Xbox One X and Xbox One S. Microsoft and Dolby developed a new implementation of Dolby Vision tailored to game consoles. At this time, a number of TVs with Dolby Vision, including TCL Roku TVs with Dolby Vision, are not compatible with this new Dolby Vision implementation. As of this date, there are no games or other content available in Dolby Vision through this game console.TCL continues to work closely with our partners to study this new implementation and will share more information as it becomes available.Since Netflix is already available in Dolby Vision directly from TCL Roku TVs, at this time, TCL recommends enjoying Netflix Dolby Vision content directly through the TCL Roku TV smart interface.

      Thank you,

      Sara

    poor quality for this TV

I bought this TV online from Bestbuy. Three months later, the screen on the left and bottom side started to crack. The screen did not have picture. I called TCL and they told me that my TV was in the manufacture warranty. But the manufacture provided only limited warranty and would not cover this quality defect issue. This TV is cheap, but it has very poor quality. I will never buy any TV from this Chinese manufacture in my life time.

      Hi John,

Typically, cracks or other physical damage to the TV would not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. You can visit https://www.tclusa.com/support/warranty to find more information on our warranty requirements and limitations. However, we would be more than happy to review your case. . In order for us to better help you it would be best for you to email us at tclsocial@tcl.com so that we can assess what you are seeing. In your email, please include your name, model number, description of the problem, and pictures of the TV showing all 4 corners. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Can't Use with Sound Bar

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

TCL has placed the remote sensor in the middle of the bottom bezel of the TV. Unfortunately, most sound bars will block the sensor rendering the remote useless. Every other flat panel I have owned has had the remote sensor on the bottom right or bottom left, never in the middle.

If you are placing equipment so that it blocks the remote sensor on the TV, you should know that you can go and purchase an infrared blaster for just a few dollars that will compensate for the fact that the equipment is blocking the sensor, and make it easier for you to use. Thanks, TCL support

      Hi Larry,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience as this definitely does not sound normal for one of our TVs. Our TVs are carefully designed and engineered to give our customers years of entertainment. Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. We will continue to make improvements to ensure our customers the best experience possible.

    Broken displays

I have purchased ALOT of TCL tv's. For myself, for friends and family. recently purchased 4 more (75,55,65 and 65). Both 65s had displays broken - no physical damage to the box whatsoever, no physical damage to the display but the LED is shot - coloured lines all over the place. I had these shipped to a good friend of mine that has had major surgery and will struggle to get these sent back for me take back to bestbuy. They won't assist and are telling me if I take too long they will not help me. I have video showing the new boxes and the damage that you can ONLY see when the TV's are switched on.

This TV came first with a huge crack in the screen, took that back got another one and now a few months later is just all of a sudden goes out. Don’t even waste your time getting it. The TV was so cheap because it’s a cheap piece of trash.

TCL customer service said that they can't even help me troubleshoot since I've owned the TV for 15 months. TV now must be manually unplugged from the wall every time I attempt to turn the TV on.
