    Huge Quality Upset

    Loved why all of the tech reviews had to say about it..:Did the research for about 4 months before actually purchasing. Wanted QLED, Dolby Vision, and Roku Interface. Worst design and quality I've experienced. Actually switched to TCL from a Bravia. On day 15 of ownership (today), while vacuuming, bumped the corner with my forearm (not hard)...Cracked internally at the corner and unrepairable. Based on what I’ve now read, not uncommon for TCL and they refuse to acknowledge a quality issue.

    Best TV ever purchased...

    By far the best TV I ever purchased, the up-scaling is so good I can't really tell between HD and 4K sometimes. The brightness and contrast ratios are off the hook. I love the integrated Roku, still best platform for streaming.

    Great picture, terrible compatibility

    I'm on my third sound bar attempt, which is failing. I would like to use the ARC setup so that I only need one remote. It produces sound when I'm using the antenna input, but with any apps it goes quiet immediately. If I unplug and then plug back in I get 3-5 seconds of fantastic sound. I've used two different brands, and I'm not interested in the TCL brand soundbar, as they review poorly. Based on my experience I wouldn't use this TV if you were planning on putting any external speakers together with it. I attempted to contact TCL for customer support, they offered me a monthly paid service for technology assistance.

    TV broke 1.5 years after purchase.

    I really liked this as a second tv. We used it sparingly- about 8-10 hours a week. Then one day it wouldn't turn on. We've only had it 1.5 years. TCL explained the warranty was 6 months out and they would not help. They told me to take it to a tv repair. I can't recommend spending 1000 dollars (2018) on a product that will stop working completely after so little use.

    A downgrade from my 10 year old plasma!

    Just bought the 6 series for Christmas and I’m very disappointed. While watching cable the picture is noticeably blurry. I can’t believe that any tv available could be worse than the plasma I bought 10 years ago. I watched part of a 4K movie just to see what it looked like and to me it just looked like how I would expect a regular movie to look. I understand these aren’t the most expensive TVs but I am very disappointed. I will be returning and getting something with a picture that is not annoying to look at. I will say if the image isn’t moving at all it looks decent but once things start moving it’s pretty bad. Not sure how these TVs are getting such good reviews.

    I just received my 65 inch today. The picture quality is good, if viewed straight on. If you view off center, it is a very washed out picture. I am very disappointed and will be returning. The picture is worse than my 6 year old 60 inch sharp LED.

    It’s a good TV, when it works...

    I purchased this TV about 18 months ago. As soon as I got it, there would be occasions when the tv would turn on but the screen would be black. The only way to rectify this would be to unplug and replug the power chord of the tv. This was on rare occasions so I thought “no big deal, things happen.”. Well now this is has become a major annoyance. It happens about half the time I try and turn my tv on now. I reached out to TCL customer service on their website and received no help. If this was not such a problem I wouldn’t hesitate to give this TV 5 stars but at this moment, I just can’t do that.

    Avoid TCL!! Terrible products and company

    TCL builds purposefully bad TVs. They break after a year and TCL doesn’t do a thing for you. Look at the reviews of their products that have been out longer than a year. On average 1/3 of them are 1 Star. With the same issues being reported. TV fails just outside of warranty and TCL does nothing for the customer. STAY AWAY!! I install A/V for a living and have never in my career had such poor service and dealt with such low qualities products. Stay away from unknown brands like TCL and go with well known, reputable companies that won’t leave you high and dry on your hard earned money. My TV died one week outside warranty and TCL refused to help me, even though the TV had less than 8 months of use. Their products are JUNK. Their service is TERRIBLE. With so many options these days, there’s no reason to settle for inferior products from unknown companies like TCL.

    Great at first, but one year later...

    I purchased this a year ago and was initially very happy. One year a 2 weeks after the purchase gray / black vertical bands (aka DSE) started to appear in 4 areas on the screen, each about 2 inches wide. This issue may have started earlier, but I only noticed it when the majority of a picture background was a solid light color (sky, grass, etc.). Now it is 4 weeks out of warranty and I'm out $900 on a TV. Search the internet and you will find way to many articles on this issue. It appears that TCL has had this problem for a very long time, Buyer beware, a purchase of their TVs are a crap shoot. A TV should last longer than 1 year before it starts to fail.

    Great picture but died after 13 months

    Don’t buy this tv. Great picture but eventually breaks. 1st the arc port went down so had to use new hdmi port. Then red yellow and green lines all over the tv when watching. Then would never turn on again. Only 1 year warranty so at 13 month the tv was dead. Tcl said it’s electronic and electronics break. They said to take in to someone to get fixed and they couldn’t help me. 1k for a tv that dies in 13 months. Not happy about that

    Very fragile

    I had read some reviews about broken screens on a big online retailer site before I purchased it. So I plugged in the TV prior to mounting it. Lo and behold, part of the screen is either black or streaky. Took it to bestbuy, but they would not let me return it.

    Stopped working & very poor warranty service

    Delivered on July 11 and on September 1 just quit turning on. We immediately called TCL support for service under the 1-year warranty. It's now September 23 with no progress. TCL Support says we need to call ITI, their service contractor, to get an update on the technician. But ITI will not answer the phone - it goes to a messaging service that they never respond to. TCL Support then says they are sorry, but they cannot contact ITI directly. Why am I having to act as the middle man? Product was great when it worked, and I'm willing to understand that 1 out of every batch may have a flaw, but my biggest frustration is with the warranty support. We have now been without a TV for almost a month and I am still in the dark as to when, if ever, it will be fixed.

    Motion problems

    Stoped working after 4 months

    TV stoped working suddenly 4 months after purchasing. Was never bumped or damage. Just stoped working. Contacted TCL and they claimed it was not a manufacturing issue so they would not repair or replace. Do Not purchase this TV
