It can be slow at times and will sometimes come up with the notification that the mic is on continuously. Picture quality is pretty good. Be wary that Qled is another name for LCD screens not actual oled

The TV is bright, and has nice color. Google TV is a big laggy on 4K streams to start but gets there. The deduction is due to dirty screen effect. This TV has a dark spot on the center of the screen, and I have been trying to get TCL to replace the screen, but after I sent them all the required video and photos of the issue, I have not heard from them since. If you can get a good screen, its a good tv.

I have two LG OLED TVs. I bought this TLC for the spare TV and it is a very close in picture and color. Plus I saving a bunch of MONEY!!

Best TV I’ve ever purchased. Picture quality is supremely close to OLeD. The Black levels are great, the color accuracy is amazing, and I love the variable refresh rate and the ability to utilize 120hz for my PS5. No need to spend over $1000 for a TV, this is the way to go.

Everything about the TV has been great. Casting is easy to do. Picture is great and pair it with an HDR video and It really shines. Have a great internet connection and it's even better

after 1 year with it, its one of the worst tvs ive ever owned. dont get me wrong, lots of features. i wanted to love it but it gets so much wrong. for example,picture is ok once you calibrate it, but the tv randomly forgets the settings and reverts to factory settings. another very aggravating issue is that while watching "live" tv section, after about a half hr it starts stuttering so bad that its almost impossible to watch, but even if you make it thru that it eventually just freezes up. im pretty sure the tv isnt handling the cache correctly, but all i know is a hard reset is needed to fix the issue. this happens 100% of the time. i mentioned how it seems to forget picture settings. its also worth mentioning that if randomly forgets other things too like ap log ins for example. another issue is the handshake between my av unit and the tv. its all hdmi yet half the time i lose volume to the receiver. again, hard reset fixes this for the moment but these things just shouldnt happen . overall the features and picture are nice bang for buck but the myriad of issues just renders the tv almost useless.

Excellent mid range TV. Solid picture, love that you can ignore using Smart Features. Biggest complaint is its slow switching to HDR content.

I did a ton of research before picking this up for $700, and it is a highly recommended TV in many home theater forums as the best price to performance TV right now. Not that I have bought and returned everything on this class to verify it for myself, but I'm in love with this TV. Google TV is superior to Roku, and all reports of bugs appear to be resolved for me. Cannot recommend it enough.

First the good. The picture is beautiful. The R646 has great HDR with deep blacks and bright highlights. The motion is good when the true-motion setting is turned off. I do not notice any blooming in HDR content. I have no noticeable 'dirty screen' effect visible. Now the bad. The software knocks this TV down from 5 stars to 2 stars in my book. If I did not have the option for 'Basic TV Mode', it would be knocked down to one star. This means I will be able to connect a 3rd party streaming device and ignore this TV's terrible software completely. Its glitchy, crashes daily, and often locks up; requiring it to be hard reset. It literally crashed 3 times last night alone, and failed to even turn on without a power cycle tonight, which prompted this review. If it were not for how glitchy the software is, I would actually like it. Its well enough organized, clean, and easy to use. TCL has something going for it here. For the price, its picture quality is fantastic. So I will keep it and use a streaming device to take advantage of its picture quality. The extra cost of a streaming player does eat away at the value proposition though,

Couldn’t be happier with the picture quality of this TV. Love the ability to switch between picture modes for watching sports or movies. The sound and lighting are great as well. Did lots of research and this TV exceeds my expectations, especially for the price

Excellent image quality and black levels. Google tv OS seems stable now.

Best tv I have had. And I will only go with Google from now on. (Roku does not even rise to the status of a horrible joke.) Google is not as good as it could be, but is much better than all the other "smart" tvs. This TCL works well and the views from all angles are impressive.

Great picture, but panel has white spots. I think its an issue with some of the LEDs but Im going to see if the issue resolves itself before i try to exhange it.
