Excellent picture quality for price! I’d definitely recommend it!

This was quite an upgrade in quality especially for a budget friendly TV. Dolby vision is outstanding, color levels are great, and black levels are on point. Some content might have ghost during fast or action scenes but hardly noticeable.

Great TV! The software needs work. It tends to be quite laggy at times.

This is a very good TV for the price. You absolutely cannot beat it. The picture quality is excellent although it does better after calibration. Nothing radical just some slight adjustments. The model that I purchased comes with Google TV which I love.

Amazing TV. With an amazing picture quality. Has all the inputs and features you need. Has all the features needed for a PS5 and XBox. The picture in 4k Dolby Vision Movies is awe inspiring.

Bang for your buck, you can’t do much better than this tv. Did a ton of research and I landed between this and the Hisense UH8. Could have gone either way, but happy with my choice.

amazing picture and sound, a great experience for movies and PS5 games. the software is not top-notch as I notice some delays and lagging. I have a bright room and was concerned by the TV contrast, but it exceeded my expectations. I hope the new software update comes soon and solves the slow response that happens every while.

read reviews of r646 and was scared about comments of panel lottery and os bugs. have had this tv over a month the panel picture quality is great and have had no issues with the os

Panel is fantastic, actually. I bought this and a Hisense 65U7G on the same day and have been comparing HDR and 4k content on them in the same room at the same time for the last few days. Will return one. This TV has 4 identical quarter-size and equally spaced grey spots at the bottom and needs to be exchanged. No damage to the box, nothing in the packaging shows damage. Must be manufacturing defect. Anyway... TCL OS is terrible, as others have reported. Clunky, slow to respond at time, more layers than necessary to get to sound and display settings and within the first hour of use and switching between the Xbox and other devices, all the HDMI ports just quit working. I had to uplug and "reset" the TV to get the HDMI ports back. What the heck. But... the TCL display is soooo good. There is ZERO backlight bleeding and the clarity/detail and smoothness when panning complex scenes in HDR and 4K is definitely better than the Hisense U7G. The sound from the TCL is waaaay better than the Hisense, but I won't use them so point is moot. In general, TCL form factor is higher quality. I'm so conflicted about the two TVs... TCL has a better display but the Hisense OS is great and reliable. The TCL has perma grey spots on the screen and the Hisense has TERRIBLE backlight bleeding (looks like a Batman sign) and will be used in a dark home theatre room most often. So coincidentally both TVs need to be exchanged due to what seem to be manufacturing issues - part of the panel "lottery" I'm reading. Should I keep the TCL with the better display hoping for OS updates that make it more dependable and usable? Should I keep the Hisense with a far superior OS? We'll see how the exchanged units perform. Right now, I'm leaning slightly toward the TCL.

Amazing image quality at a great price. Ive had the tv now for nearly 5 months, no issues. Speakers aren’t great, but what can you expect in such a thin tv frame? Added Sonos sound bar and cant be happier.

Amazing screen... Terrible hardware I loved the screen, best picture I've ever had on a TV. It passed all test patterns with flying colors and was very bright with great contrast. Now for the bad. You've probably seen posts about the problems with this TV. However, these were supposedly fixed with a firmware update. This helped with some of the problems but not enough. Apps would randomly close. I tried to work around this by buying a fire stick and using it. This also didn't work because the screen would randomly go black when using HDMI on 3 of the 4 inputs. Additionally, it started just randomly turning off. It would take multiple efforts to turn it back on sometimes needing to be unplugged and plugged back in. Finally the sound was terrible. I picked up the tcl Atmos sound bar and it fixed the sound problem at least providing nice room filling sound.

I don't think I could have gotten a better bank for a buck tv. Picture quality is amazing, sound is fantastic. Whether it be youtube, a movie, or gaming it all does really well on this

This is not the best TV out ther I am sure, but it is awesome to me! The backlighting is awesome, the brightness is great. I just love it. The colors are great.

This tv is amazing value for the price. I highly recommend it but nowadays i would go for the 655 or the QM8 but you’ll be happy with this none the less

Great TV for the price, I purchased it when it went on sale. Runs ps5 and Xbox series X games very smooth at 4K 120hz. Plus watching movies on it is a great experience and very smooth picture and colors.

I gotta say after setting it up and a week of use it’s been amazing. For the price I don’t know what more you can ask for. It looks stunning, it’s fast, you can customize your image. Game mode, the sound, google tv. It’s great

Very happy with purchased. After extensive research and comparisons, I decided to purchase this TV. I've read about the great TV quality reviews, compared with the negative reviews about software bugs and took a chance. Upon opening I immediately applied the latest software updates and calibrated the TV settings based on recommendations from a few websites, and couldn't be happier. Noticeable difference coming from a TCL 4 series.

I purchased this TCL 6 series right after it appeared on the shelves. I had purchased a returned unit that was in acceptable condition, but let me tell you it was anything but. From selling me a tv without the any stand screws, making it impossible to use unless I purchased a wall mount, to arriving home only to find there is no remote control included either. I drove over an hour to pick it up as well. After a month it began flickering and shutting off as it pleased. TCL took their ssweet time to send a tech over and when he finally arrived he switched out the entire tv pretty much from the inside out. By the time I could verify if the tv was fixed he was out hte door. The tv never turned back on and was damaged permanently. TCL customer support again wanted to repeat the same exact process of sending out a tech to replace the parts that had already been replaced by the tech that came out the first time. IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. I HAD TO THREATEN TCL WITH NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON ALL AUTHORIZED RESELLER WEBSITES! I lucked out that even though it was well past 15 days Best Buy helped me out and actually refunded the the full amount back which I used to purchase another TV from Bestbuy. I will never, ever in my life purchase a tv from the likes of TCL or Hisense or Roku or any other cheap brand to save a bill or two. Samsung all the way. AGAIN YOUR NOT JUST BUYING A TV, YOU ARE ALSO PURCHASING THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT THAT COMES WITH THE RESPECTIVE BRAND AND UNLESS YOU HAVE BESTBUYS TOTAL TECH CARE, I WOULDNT TOUCH A LOW BUDGET TV WITH A TEN FOOT POLE. I would rather buy a lower budget Samsung than the best of the best from low end manufactueres such as TCL becuase evne though on paper the TCL may sound better, it still isn't on par with a lower end tv from a high end manufacturer

Very good TV, Does very well in my brightly lit garage. Picture is very good. Used headphone out to connect to my stereo system, so can't rate onboard speakers. Does take about 10-15 minutes to set up connection to internet and let it do necessary update downloads before it can be used to view shows/movies. However, this is a one time deal, so it doesn't bother me. Very little glare even under the 6000 degrees K LED shop lights. Got it at 999.00 pre black Friday sale price. According to add on best buy Pre black Friday sale, if price goes lower once Black Friday sales prices hit, they will make up the difference ( check???) . Just saw the Black Friday adds, its now listed at 899.00. Its a steal for that price, I'll update my review if the come through with the price adjustment like they claimed.

Bought this TV a month ago, after our old 55" decided to give out on us. I scurried to Reddit to wrap my head around what our best, most cost-effective options were, and I was pointed to this model and a comparable Sony. For $300 less, this one was the easy pick. Not the biggest fan of smart TVs in general, but that's just the world we live in now. The key is to go a bit above base model — many of the most budget friendly units have cheap processors, which result in subpar user experiences. This 6-Series gets the job done with no complaints so far. It's fast, efficient, and produces beautiful visuals. It's bigger than our older TV too. Seriously happy with this purchase. Can't say much about sound, as we use a Samsung soundbar for that.
