Glitches and freezing make for a less than ideal e
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant about purchasing this tv due to reading others reviews that stated it had issues with glitches and freezing. Once I has purchased the tv, got it home and turned it on there was a software update that I’m guessing was aimed at fixing the issues people were having in the various reviews. At first I didn’t appear to have any issues with the television but after a few weeks of using it I begin to notice the would just freeze on a screen and I couldn’t use any button to turn it off. I actually had to unplug the television, wait a minute or two, and then plug back up to get it to restart. This has happened about 5 times in little under a month of usage. Just recently the television has start glitching during shows. It doesn’t last long but it is noticeable and rather annoying. As far as picture quality and sound, the tv is a solid 4 stars in those areas but the glitches and freezing brings the overall rating down to 2 stars.

Seems like a great tv

My eye is it critical enough to appreciate what they claim to be a great picture but the sound quality is definitely better than my last TV. I also appreciate that it comes on very quickly. The only real hit was that I’m not very familiar with the brand, but they seems to be trying to make a good name for themselves as a relatively new company. TV was on a great Black Friday sale but appeared to be running low on stock. Unsure if discontinued end of 2022.

Best TV I've ever seen and A+ customer service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The TV is stunning and checks all my boxes but Leanna at White Marsh, MD Best Buy stole the show. What started out as a frustrating experience with a damaged open box unit, resulted in possibly the most responsive and accommodating customer service experience in my entire life. I had zero trouble when the TCL 65r646 didn't provide the viewing angles my narrow home demands. I boxed it back up, brought it to the store and 10 minutes later, I left with the LG C1 TV. The C1 is absolutely gorgeous. The motion is searingly fast, the processing does an excellent job with all the content I throw at it, the colors are rich and pop right off the screen, and every seat in the house is the best seat, thanks to perfectly clear images up to about 170 degrees. Combine a 3/8" thick panel with plentiful connections and a responsive and mature Web OS 6 and you've got yourself an absolute beast at MSRP $1,800 (recently dropped from $2,500). I turn it on and off with Google Home and feed it 120hz 4k signal from an HTPC. 120Hz means flawless motion. It is as buttery smooth as a movie theater. My friends are all in envy. My only complaint is that I couldn't afford the 77" because I can only imagine the theater experience of 12 more inches of this performer. OLED is finally affordable and the video processing has gotten it to the next level. OLED is the ultimate cheat code and this LG C1 delivers on all the most demanding expectations.

But like the early reviews the apps aren't working properly. So I'm currently using my ps5 to stream thru the TV. I have until October to return it so hopefully TCL will fix this by then.

Blacks need to be better

Maybe a update fixed it but haven't had issues lately. The Dolby logic, not sure how good it really make a picture. If I watch something on (mostly) Prime, dark scenes can be almost impossible to make out.
