    The tv is ok for family. No matter color or brightness of tv. I got it for three months but I think the screen is too weak..

    Good picture quality, TCL seriously needs ro work on their googleTV software though Why mess with the stock experience if they can just make the default google OS image work that would be better instead of trying to modify it and introducing more problems If anyone has any idea how to make HDMI CEC control work reliably with a soundbar post a solution

    I've got a 55" and 65" of this model. The picture quality is amazing for the price, it won't disappoint you on that end. HDMI 2.1 is also nice for my xbox series X and PS5. I don't use the user interface so I don't have all the issues everyone else has. I do notice a little studder every once and awhile which annoyes me and I wish the remote was designed different. For me there are more pros than cons for this tv.

    I really wanted to like this TV, but had to return it for a variety of issues. Now, some of them may be due to me receiving a faulty unit, but there are others that made me weary of owning it long term. The TV does indeed look good with great blacks and does get really bright. The problem comes in the software and perhaps the processing power. My unit began to flicker on day 2 when watching regular TV (image artifacts would continuously flash on the screen). Now, I know that the issue was not my Tivo box as it worked great with the previous TV, and is working great now with the TV that I purchased to replaced this one. Then the streaming apps started acting up, with Netflix shows streaming with a green tint. After the green tint issue the TV just randomly shut down and wouldn't turn on. I had to unplug the TV and plug it again to get it to turn back on. After the "reboot" the flickering issues remained. I will point out that upon experiencing the image issues I replaced all cables and tried to troubleshoot to no avail. On the software/OS side, I will say that from the beginning the Google TV operating system felt incredibly sluggish and slow. Initial setup took way longer than all of my other TVs that also runs Google TV or Android TV. I believe that the just TV doesn't have enough processing power to run the Google software and image processing. Overall, I just didn't feel confident about getting this TV again even if the image and software issues I experienced were the result of a faulty unit.

    Great picture quality, options and features and was a big step up from my previous Samsung TV that is about 4 years old. My problem with the tv is like what most people have said about this tv before, the tv software is trash. If I cast anything to the tv from sling it runs super slow. The tv also does not recognize the inputs for other devises that I plug in including the Roku ultra I bought to bypass the software issues. the TV on multiple occasions has made the games I'm playing run super slow, I'm talking maybe 20 frames after running at 120 for the majority of play time. Yes all my settings are correct, my internet is fine and the HDMI cord is new. The point is I shouldn't have the reset my tv so constantly to fix some of these problems, or have to use multiple remotes. I want to love this TV, but if Im spending this much money, I should be getting a better experience. I will be returning the tv and paying more for a tv that works.
