Nice picture but too many glitches Is with the software

First TV lost 3 mini-leds about a month after purchase. Try to get it broken in fast, especially with best buys short return period. Whatever software bugs that existed in the past are fixed, and software updates are still coming from TCL as of mid Jan '23.

Overall nice TV except that the a few months after purchase the TV started flashing and freezing until a green vertical line developed on the screen which would not go away. Later found out that the main board was damaged and could not be repaired.

I picked up an open box product in excellent condition, and it has been great. I notice a few kinks here and there like random black frames or occasional remnants from motion smoothing (though this could be an HDMI cable issue), but nothing serious. Earlier in the month Best Buy pulled the TV from their online store because of issues with the Google TV software integration, but TCL has since issued a new firmware/software update and I have not had any issues. I bet the TV was returned because of issues with the Google TV smart TV media, so it was great getting an amazing discount for a TV that was essentially brand new. No comment on the sound quality; I have only used a soundbar with the TV. 100% recommend.

This TV is great. The contrast is comparable to OLED.

Brightest TV Iv ever seen, 120hz refresh was a big improvement on my Series X and the fit/finish of the TV itself looks great. Amazing TV and very impressed

Stunning image, good sound, but freezes (not buffers) during shows and seems slow to load. Very frustrating. But if that doesn’t continue to happen, it is a gorgeous image, and we have enjoyed viewing shows (if they don’t stall). We are still a bit on the fence with this TV (due to processing), but it is a fantastic picture.

Such a great tv for its price. The picture quality is great and the hdr is better than my x90j. Mini led really shows its strengths in dark scenes.

Good price for a solid TV with most of the latest features) as of Sept. 2023. Don't complain about built in speakers and get at least a soundbar or surround sound speakers to go with.

Great TV for daily tv watching. Fantastic for video games. For the price it really delivers. Only issue I have is a dark spot on the bottom left of the screen. Seems some mini led are not working well but since I watch a lot of shows with black bars it doesn’t affect the experience.

Excellent picture quality, but several broken features. It fails to output Dolby Atmos signal both when using a device through eArc and when using built in apps. I've gone through all the settings and troubleshooted extensively to be sure. My TCL 5-series 2020 with Roku didn't have any issue with this. It's also not being detected as capable of 120hz while at 4k resolution, despite using one of the HDMI 2.1 ports with an Ultra Highspeed HDMI cable. I would return it for a refund if Best Buy's policies weren't so lacking.

The picture quality is hard to beat for the price. I did initially have a problem with the software crashing and the wifi turning off. I turned off quick start in the system settings and then it worked well.

So good so far. Still learning it seems like a very good TV for the price

We bought first time TCL TV. This was a great choice. Loved the quality.

Overall performance is great. My family loves it. This is our 2nd TCL TV.

This tv is amazing for the money. Got on sale for $999 and it is truly worth that price. Just as good as the $2000 Sony and Samsung. Not sure on the sound as I have used a sound bar.

Great picture quality but dreadful operation system. I have had this TV for just 3 days and it literally froze like 90 times. I even got a ROKU stick which works perfectly fine but as soon as you switch to Google TV (default OS) this TV froze like it was some cheap OEM TV. Not worth 900. TCl recommended resetting this TV but to no use. Infact it was stupid because I had to sign into every app again and again. Trust me, the TV is great no doubt, the picture and everything but you have NO GUARANTEE that TCL will release a firmware update to fix this

Great tv. Great price. Love an oled tv but price versus quality, i pick this tv all day especially for my ps5 gaming and streaming.

This was a Black Friday purchase that we could not pass up and we are very glad we took the leap. We had a great Sharp Aquos TV that this replaced, and it's the capabilities of this TV via Google TV that we really liked. And the picture is better than anything we've had before. Found the sound adequate, but we opted for a soundbar and are glad we did this too. One thing, and this is picky, but the rocker switch on the remote for the volume could be a little easier to use but that's so minor. Great TV, great purchase.
