Amazing after firmware updates. TLC fixed it

TV would shut off randomly and only turn back on after un/pluging the power cable. Freezing was not rare either. But TCL fixed it all by firmware updates. Now I have an amazing picture and great sound for a fraction of bigger names with less capable tvs. And Google TV is the very best OS. Would buy it again.

My TCL 65

This TCL 65 was ok but acted weird sometimes like it had its own mind. The picture was just ok also but I knew that when I bought as a short term.

Good TV for the price, but…

Having a problem with apps losing sound after a certain amount of time. Having to do a soft reset seems to fix the problem, but only for a fee days. Hopefully they can fix this with an update.

Good, but better eith roku

Roku is superior and google tv includes more ads. Also, its hard to access the Sleep mode function in this google tv compared to my TCL roku and old Toshiba HD tv.

TCL is fixing things quickly

When you get it home you will want to run a DSE (dirty screen effect) test screen on it to make sure you have a good panel. I found tests on youtube Mine had some and it vanished so I was lucky. I applied the recommended settings from AVSForums. It is a bit tricky as you need to display content like HDR10 or Dolbyvision to adjust the settings. Make sure to get the updates as TCL is correcting things rapidly.

Not as beautiful as Hisense!

It stopped being able to communicate with my soundbar and Apple TV/ game console. I would not recommend it.

Junk... I wish they still made dumb TV's

It has been disappointing. The picture quality is not bad however everything else is terrible. Pros: - Inexpensive - Picture quality is good Cons: - Android TV is pretty much always laggy but gets really bad at times - Refresh rate is low/delayed video when gaming - Speakers aren't great - Auto volume control doesn't work well

Exceeded expectations!

I am blown away with the picture quality of this tv, it amazing! Mini LED, QLED, and Dolby Vision support at half the price of one of the new Samsung tvs! You will get dark blacks, bright brights, and great motion handling. I cannot comment on the Google TV OS since I stream though the Apple TV, but other than that, it is a must buy! TCL has won me as a customer.

Good but not Great

So if you watch much SD, you can do better. But the picture really sings with higher resolution formats with good contrast, natural color and decent brightness. User experience leaves a little to be desired. Several apps regularly freeze and the sound bar disconnnects for no reason and requires a shutdown to reconnect. If you are doing a lot of app hopping, you’ll likely have issues. Handsome design though, discreet branding, two positions for mounting feet, which is nice.

Highly recommend it if you want spmething great on a budget. You will not miss out on anything. Amazing black levels, awesome high peak brightness, 2 4k 120hz hdmi ports, and so much more..
