Buyer beware, service plan NOT HONORED

It came as an open box, so i purchased the 3 year service warranty. Within 2-3 months, it started having issues turning off at random, and not turning back on. I would unplug it, run all the steps to reset the tv, and get 1 or 2 days of use before it started again. Eventually I reached out to the service plan, who came out and were unable to replicate the issue. I gave detailed information on what was happening, and was told to contact TCL directly to have it fixed. Why buy the service plan if they refuse to actually repair or replace the covered device when problems arise? Very disappointed, will not be purchasing in the future. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice...

Perfect for next gen consoles!

Needed something that could support PS5 and Xbox series X graphics. I can’t begin to describe how great my games look now!! This tv is perfect and looks absolutely amazing! I will be playing many games on this!

Bad Screen In Just Over A Year

Contacted TCL and they wont help cause its over the lousy 1 year warranty they give. Last time I buy TCL

Decent picture, software seems like a beta test

Picture is pretty good quality and bright at a viewing distance. However, my unit has some dead pixels throughout it. Sound is pretty decent for built in speakers too. Also have noticed a ghosting issue when rotating the camera around a character in games. Google TV/TV software is a mess right now. Multiple issues on built in streaming apps and the OS menus. I would probably wait on this TV and see if the issues get addressed before purchasing.

The picture is excellent and Google TV works seamlessly. I was a little hesitant with some of the other reviews but I have had zero problems with the picture quality or Google TV. I am very happy with this purchase.

Badly Rushed TV with Quality Control Issues

But if you use the Google platform/apps it goes bad quickly. It’s frustrating, annoying, and aggravating! TCL really screwed the pooch on this one, and now it has been pulled from the stores and online. Still thinking about returning this TV…too bad, because TCL was building a decent reputation for the products they put to market.

Died in less than 3 months.

Best buy warrenty is only good for 15 days. What a joke. Horrible software bugs in this TV too. Other than that it had a GREAT picture for my PS5. Unfortunately it died.

A very unexpected surprise

This is absolutely a solid 10 out of 10

We are not gamers so all of that technical need has no meaning to us. However if all you need to do is watch programming of shows and movies and sports, you would be very happy with this unit.

The colors are really good after a bit of fiddling in the settings and the blacks look nice with the dimming zones. I read about some issues with keeping the aspect ratio with 480p content but I haven't had an issue yet (haven't tried old game systems yet).
