    I had this in a guest room that I would game in when the kiddo was in the theater playing games. It worked and looked what I thought was great until I moved the TV into my PC room to have a dedicated TV for my Racing Wheel and seat. Well it wasn't until it was next to a much MUCH nicer looking TV that I could tell the difference in quality. No matter what I'm playing or how much I try to get the look similar to my 50" Vizio I cannot get them close and is not for a lack of knowledge. I spent 20 years in the telecommunications and IT world so I am above and beyond basic skills for dealing with things like this. I don't know why but the colors always seem a little washed out.

    Fantastic tv. The picture quality is far above anything I’ve had before. Very happy with it after a year in.

    TCL - 65" Class 6-Series QLED Google TV #65R646

    Purchased this brand new TCL Google TV from Best Buy. 3 days after the 14 day return period, I noticed 3 black dots and a line burned into the lower part of the screen. Called Best Buy to set up a return for a new one and they said I was past the return period (literally 3 days past the 14 day window) and would have to deal directly with TCL for warranty. For warranty replacement, TCL sent me a used reconditioned TV that is a Roku TV, not Google TV as I had originally purchased and I am responsible for disposing of the old TV. They told me that they did not have a Google TV in their used recertified stock and that their warranty specifically says they can replace with a similar model, not an exact and apparently can send you a used TV also. In the furture, I will stick with retailers that have a reasonable return policy for defective merchandise and I will never purchase another TCL product. Lessons learned.

    So yes, these were pulled from the shelves for initial software and firmware issues. I returned my first unit using BB’s excellent holiday return program. I believed TCL and Google would correct the issues and they have corrected the issues that I was most concerned about within a few weeks of my swap. I marvel at the picture quality of this set. The fact that it is 1/3 the cost of an OLED and has a more appealing picture, a brighter image, with rivaling blacks, to me. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with both TCL customer service and Best Buy. Super Bowl starts in 6 hours

    Really surprised with the quality of this tv. Motion is amazing in both gaming and movies. 4K 120 works perfectly with my rtx 3080 no blur or half resolution. Blacks are inky and deep with minimal blooming. Some minor smearing/ghosting while gaming if you look for it but not noticeable in real content consumption. Clarity is great as well. The bad I would have to say is the UI and google tv although I only used the UI to set my settings once and that's it. I use an Apple TV which all of you should as tv apps are garbage anyways. Can't speak on the sound either as I have a home theater system. Overall a great buy.

    Two words - MINI LED. You cannot buy a cheaper MINI LED at this size. Huge difference with HDR content as the blacks really pop. Google TV is ok, I prefer ROKU overall but I dint but TVs for their U.I.

    The display is awesome. The operating system needs work. Finding a Universal Remote is impossible. An Xfinity remote will bring up the screen to select input but won't actually change inputs, I also tried two other New universal remotes I got off Amazon. Perhaps in a few more months remotes will become available. I like having a spare remote in case the dog eats one. The operating system (Google) still has a lot of Roku embedded in it. You will not be able to get a second remote even from the factory they will refer you to a third party who does not actually have the remote you need. Support cannot help you with codes. All in all the operating system is not ready for prime time. The settings are hard to find I spent hours trying to find them all. But the display is bright and sharp. The blacks are black and the colors are vibrant. It really looks great but be careful not to trash your remote.

Many Universal and cable box remotes can be programmed to control select functions on the TV. You can visit https://support.tcl.com/us-remote-codes for more information. If you do not see your specific remote, you would need to contact the remote's manufacturer to obtain the remote code from them. To purchase another remote like the one that comes with the TV, you would want to visit https://encompass.com/brands/tcl/TCL/5. If you do not see the part you looking for, you would want to contact encompass customer support as they would have the ability to order that part for you. Hope this helps!

    Worst TV I've ever owned, the main HDMI 2 connector with e/arc was constantly blacking out connection, flickering video, losing connection, then the HDMI port itself literally fell out inside the TV conveniently a month outside the return window.

    I have had no issues with TV and its a great value. I had Sony A8H and decided to give it away to ipgrade in size and I dont regret it a bit. Very clear and actially has 2.1 HDMI, will admit not as smooth then the OLED but comes close to it.
