    Worst TV and worst customer service ever

    I was so excited when I got this TV, spending the extra money to get a top level TV that could last me a long time. Immediately, it started having problems with the speakers, with crackly sound coming out of the speakers. TCL customer service is horrible, and after many calls they finally honored their warranty and came to fix it. But then a few months later the screen messed up and started flickering. Again, TCL customer service was horrible and refused to honor their warranty so we had to buy a new TV. If you get this tv, get some kind of insurance because it will have problems and TCL will not want to help. In terms of picture quality, it's good, but my new TV is much cheaper and the picture quality seems exactly the same. I will never buy TCL again.

    You take your chances. Pay for a warranty

    We've had nothing but problems with our TCL 65Q825 TV. After two months of emails back and forth with TCL they FINALLY sent out a replacement unit. The delivery guys put the tv on our floor (no stand) turned it on to a setup screen with only a small graphic in the middle of the screen, and promptly left. We didn't move the tv (in fact, I don't think we actually touched it at all) but when we used the remote to setup NetFlix we noticed lines going across the screen. I called the delivery driver back within 5 minutes of him leaving the house to let him know. I emailed TCL immediately to let them know. TCL is telling us that it’s physically damaged, and that’s not covered by their warranty! In other words, they delivered a damaged tv and are telling us it’s not their problem. Unbelievable. Even getting the replacement TV was a nightmare. They made me install different themes to take a dozen different pictures of the issue with different backgrounds. I had to troubleshoot a bunch of different things that clearly weren’t going to help. They send emails on Friday afternoon stating, “if we don’t hear back from you within 72 hours we will consider the matter resolved and close your case” just to try to get rid of you. And, again, I was at this with them for 2 months with a broken TV less than a year old! And the issue we initially had is apparently pretty common with their TVs (dark area on the screen). So, you get what you pay for. You take your chances with this company that you’re one of the lucky ones that doesn’t have an issue with their TV. If you do, good luck...

    Poor quality components

    Within 6 months a section of the backlights went out leaving a dark area on the screen. Looks like there are multiple complaints about quality with these.

    Squeals a few weeks after light usage

    A few days after I could return it to the store the tv whines and squeals constantly. Nothing like paying 1k for a tv that gives me a constant migraine. Avoid.

    people are having major audio problems

    they are being told to use pcm & stereo to stop lip sync and audio drop outs. no 5.1 or dolby atmos I want to buy one but this needs to be fixed roku or tcl
