GREAT BUY FOR THE PRICE

TV good, service is meh

My issues are actually with the financial side of things; I had the TV set in the wrong location, to fix that they bought the TV again with my card, AND THEN refunded my money. It just so happens that for the first time in months, my card was close enough to its limit that it got maxed out, making me lose 11 points of credit. Now I'm not worried about my credit score in the slightest, and the overage charge is annoying but whatever, it is more just annoying that it could've been avoided with a different order of operations.

TCL 65 inch 4K Smart TV

Its a little slow starting apps but its a major step up to what I had before. The price was low and the tv works great. Setup was easy to get thought as well.

Not Really digging it

You have have a google account to sign into to get the best use of the TV. We have fire stick from our previous TV and really liked it. We plugged the stick in here and it works but there is quit a learning curve. The picture is fine and it even gets a little sun on it in the mornings and still has a great picture. The sound quality is also good. Software is just difficult to navigate. Eventually figured it out but it took too much effort.

TV Is Good But One Issue!

Every time I power on the TV, navigating it is really bad for the first 3 minutes. I try to go to any streaming platform and it lags very badly and makes it almost impossible to open any app without it still falling behind and make you open something you didn't want to open. Overall this TV is ok but you can get something a little better maybe at a bit higher price point.

No more google TV for me

But I think I'll stay away from Google TV in the future. It offers a quasi-Android interface which isn't helpful. A TV in your living room controlled by a remote and a smartphone in your pocket have very little in common, so there is no reason to make the interface look like the phone. It is actually rather confusing. My biggest gripe though is that it is an agenda-driven, not data-driven advertising device. Google is usually scary good at serving ads for things that I was just thinking about in my head or talking to others about - never even looked up. But the carousel that appears, that takes up 2/3rds of the screen, is CONSTANTLY is driven by Google ideology / agenda. This really isn't fair. They know what I like to watch, but they promote something different. Imagine turning on a radio that never starts on one of your preset stations but instead always on some politically-motivated station that goes against your perspective? That's what I have for a TV.
