AVOID TCL! Bad CS, selling lemons

Owned for 10 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid TCL at all cost, bought the 65 and 75 after strong recommendation from Best Buy assoc, they must be getting big perks from TCL because the tvs are pure junk. The 65 went bad after a month, flashing lines across the screen regardless of input, streaming, cable, dvd, gaming. Essentially a lemon. Best Buy wouldnt do anything even though I’m in their highest level of support, said I had to go thru TCL warranty. That’s where the nightmare really started. To save you time reading the summary is this: 28 emails, 6 videos of the problem and 10 pics sent, multiple phone calls, 8 weeks later after finally getting a replacement approved, still haven’t received the replacement. Oh and you’re responsible for recycling the bad tv. Customer aervice is a joke as are the tvs (75 now going out after only a few months). AVOID TCL AT ALL COSTS! They tvs are junk, their CS is brutal and Best Buy should be embarrassed to be selling their equipment. Check out non Best Buy reviews online on TCL and you’ll see thousands of others who have been scammed.

TCL- 65" Class Q7 Q-Class QLED HDR Smart TV

Sony has it - TCL doesn't have it. I returned the TCL 65" TV & TCL Sound Bar & purchased a Sony 55" TV & Sony Sound Bar & woofer.

Terrible experience!!!

Two weeks return policy. Called TCL and they walked me through a factory reset, problem came back in about a week. Other problems have also occurred like people on screen turning reddish for 5-30 seconds at a time then correcting it self. Dolby and DTS sound not working correctly. Parts of the screen lighting and dark darkening for no apparent reason USB jack has only worked for about 5 days of ownership and that was after taking to TCL and having to do the factory reset. So multiple problems. About to call TCL again and see if they will rectify the problems. I don't suggest buying from Best Buy, and I'm not sure if I would suggest TCL until I see if they will resolve these problems. So far I've had an terrible experience with both. I know so far I'll never spend my money at best buy again.

Not great. Quite slow.

This thing has frozen twice in the two weeks we’ve had it requiring an unplug and restart. Apps are terribly slow. Picture is finicky. Kinda kicking myself for not simply getting another 4 series for half the price.

Nice for the buck!

Software, sound, remote designed by an idiot. Without an external sound source it's unwatchable. Adjustment software is as about as difficult as can be to use. Sometimes the software gets lost and I have to turn off the TV to reset it. Screen saver is just stupid, it pops up in the middle of a show, can't turn it off (I've tried).

Faint 7-8 vertical lines across the entire screen

Then while playing The Finals on PS5 I noticed several faint black lines spanning the entire screen vertically. It was the bright backgrounds that exposed the flaws. Then I booted up some youtube videos with white backgrounds, and again, the lines were easy to spot and very distracting. From that point forward, I couldn't look at a solid brighter background and not notice about 7 vertical lines. They vanished into darker content and colors. Even for $700, this is too distracting for me and I'll be returning the set and picking up another brand.

Was hoping newer would be better

It will do everything possible to stop you. Once you do get to the antenna channel when you try to change it the TV will go back to the stupid internet channels. You also can do every combination of Bluetooth, Internal, even headphones. But you can't do internal speakers and optical out. Makes the TV almost worthless if you have surround sound.

Warranty scam

Was hesitant to buy this brand but it was so much cheaper so I went for it. It's been fine, but yesterday it developed vertical lines on one side. Since it's still under warranty, I contacted TCL support. They say that the lines are caused by physical damage to the tv and therefore my warranty is voided. I can guarantee there was no physical damage to the tv. Definitely wish I stayed away from this brand.
