Great picture for the price. Operating system does lag from time to time.

I LOVE this tv. It looks very good honestly. Mini-led is very high quality, and there’s a ton of individual dimming zones. Not as black as an OLED, but it’s getting pretty close! Only thing is that the tv is quite wide, a bit heavy. But you should only really deal with that when you set it up or move it. The remote is very nice too, it’s backlit and lights up when it feels motion.

The product is good, the only thing because I don't give it the 5 stars is the design of its control is very simple, but the sharpness of the screen is very good

We are so happy with our 65” TCL mini-LED TV. It was a significant upgrade and the clarity and vibrant colors really show. We enjoy movie nights much more on our “home theater” and so glad we bought it!

I bought it on sale when first released. I was amazed when I unboxed and set it up. I used it daily to watch 4k Dolby Vision using my Apple TV 4k. I put my PS5Pro, the resolution and picture was stunning. Great color accuracy. Great Visual output. With gaming mode, you can play 4k or 1440p in higher frame rate. I would truly reccomend.

Good tv. Worth the $500 on sale price Easy to instal

First I got this TV on sale for $499. I am coming into this TV from a TCL Q6, QLED, not mini LED and it is a definite improvement. Brightness is noticeably better, contrast is better, black is better, sound is better, but more about this later. This TV is mini-LED with local dimming zones, or full array whatever you want to call it. It is easy to set up and use from the TCL perspective in that when I logged into my TCL account all was good, however I would have thought since my old TV was a Google TV that this one would have just picked up all my apps and log ins once I logged into my Google account. Not so, I had to reload every app and log in to each separately. Google not near as friendly as Roku. On another note, this TV does have adjustable legs that offer a narrower footprint which was a huge consideration for me since my installation was limited to width of the legs. The holes for the narrower set up are plugged with removable plugs that you have you use sturdy tweezers on to get them out, needle nose pliers are too large, but not that large a pain - just be advised. As mentioned it is definitely an upgrade and although it is only a 60hz native screen, my average eyes can't really discern an disturbing lack of clarity or performance. I watch sports, action movies, reality content and am reasonable impressed at the performance of this TV. Can's say enough good about it. Now about the sound. It's ok, just ok. I was anxious to hear the Onkyo built in 2.1 sound, not really impressed. I know it's hard to get much bass from these small speakers and to be fair I'm coming from a component home theater set up. No comparison, but if you are used to the thin sounding speakers that most modern TVs have, these will definitely be an improvement for you - it's plenty loud without distorting. But my recommendation is to go ahead and pop for the home theater system, whether it be a good sound bar or whatever. If you want all that this TV will give you as far as Dolby performance is concerned go for an ATMOS set up. Am I happy, you bet, would I recommend it, absolutely. Shop the sales and you could walk away with an amazing TV for a steal.

Beware of delivered TVs. My 65 inch showed up with a cracked screen. I have to wait a week for “ Best “ Buy to replace the tv. I hope this delivery has an intact product.

What I Love Stunning picture quality — The clarity and sharpness are impressive, especially in 4K HDR content. The color is vibrant without being oversaturated, and the contrast is excellent thanks to the mini-LED backlighting. Bright and usable in daytime — Even with light streaming in, the screen stays bright and visible without losing much detail. Thin, modern design — The TV looks sleek on the wall or stand. The slim bezels and overall build quality give it a premium feel. Responsive smart features — Google TV runs smoothly. Switching apps, streaming, and navigating menus are fast and lag-free. Great for gaming and motion — Fast action scenes and sports look clean. No notable stutter or motion blur in my tests. Solid built-in audio for everyday use — Dialogue is clear, sound is acceptable for casual viewing (though a separate soundbar would elevate movie nights). Things to Note / Minor Drawbacks Viewing angles are decent but shift a little when you’re far off to the side. In extremely bright HDR highlights, it sometimes can’t match the absolute peak brightness of premium flagships. Sound is good but not immersive — upgrading audio will really round out the experience. Overall Verdict This TCL QM5K is one of those rare TVs where you don’t feel like you compromised to save money. You get a big, sharp, bright display with solid performance, sleek design, and smart functionality. If you’re in the market for a new TV in the 65″ class, this one punches well above its weight.

I needed a new tv and I was seriously leaning towards an oled from LG, Sony or Samsung. I became leary of the burn-in issues with this type of tv, plus I didn't want to spend more than a month's rent, with so many great options out there. I went back & forth for like 6 months, reading hundreds of reviews from well respected magazines, websites and customer reviews. 1 thing I knew I wanted was a Google OS! That ruled out LG,and I've never really liked their OS? So that left me with Sony or Samsung. I wanted a 65", but I wanted the most bang for my dollars like we all do! To be completely honest, I "NEVER" even entertained the though of buying a chinese made television? NOT EVEN! No offense to the people or the country, I'm just extremely partial to Japanese or South Korean products, I trust them and have bought them for over 4 decades! And they've NEVER failed me. So I did further research on TCL & Hisense. Between the two, they basically own the tv business. 1 example, starting this year, Sony will NO LONGER MAKE THEIR OWN TV'S? They will retain control over the name and brand, Sony, Bravia, etc. Never saw that one coming?? So, I decided mini-led was the way I wanted to go. I finally decided on this 2025 model from Best Buy (a BB exclusive) because of the price $449.00. A real bargain. And I have to say, it is the best tv purchase I've ever made, seriously! Hooked it up and right out of the box it was just one gorgeous picture, even my roommate agreed it was just insane how good it was? The only thing I had to do is turn the brightness down to 20% and tone the color down to about 25% and that's it? TCL has absolutely won me over, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!! The level of detail, black levels, colors, are just unbelievable for the price I paid? Black is black, white is white, and every color, no matter the source, is DEAD ON PERFECT!! NOT KIDDING YOU 1 BIT! Lastly, aside from the minor adjustments I mentioned above, I chose the "Movie" mode for streaming, my 4K Ultra HD Sony UBP-X1100ES, etc, and it is 1 PHENOMENAL picture, no matter the source? And I've noticed ZERO blooming of colors or any color bleeding. Would I recommend this tv to friends and family or you, ABSOLUTELY 100 %, ALL DAY EVERY DAY!! I hope this review helps you make an informed decision? Btw, I got heavily involved in home theatre in 1990, when it was a 6 figure luxury and I've been involved ever since that first day!
