    My review of my tcl 65 Q8 with google tv

    I just starting buying tcl tvs and so far im really liking them except one thing about this tv. Im really disappointed that a tv of this level has only a 2.0 USB port. If it had a 3.0 USB port i would have giving it 5 stars. I have to double check on that for now on for now on before i buy a tv, but other then that its a great tv for the money

    Caught it on sale. It was a great price for the size and model. It was less expensive than the usual TVs but looked just as good in store and in my home. Would recommend a sound bar. The sound isn’t the worst but leave much to be desired.

    Great QLED TV for bright rooms!

    As a long-time Samsung owner, I have been very impressed with the build quality, design, and performance of the TCL products. This new 65" TCL QM8 is no different, as I was impressed with the TV out of the box. Easy to set-up, and enjoying the tv after 5 days of use (and further tuning).

    So far fabulous Christmas gift for my daughter and family! I will be viewing it myself in a couple of weeks, and will better be able to evaluate it, but I am sure it is much better than the TV they had, in which screen was turning blue...lol

    Great picture although glitchy t.v , screen went black a couple times and there was a time it automatically started shuffling through viewing settings on its own while watching a movie.

    Wow this TV is a mind blowing experience and best TV I've ever even seen my entire life. As long as you purchase the extended warranty then there's no risk in going with TCL. The colors pop! It's just visually so much fun.

    I have never regretted a purchase as much as this one, and I should have given in and returned this TV during the return window. The Google TV interface is terrible. The design is ugly. It is hard to navigate and not customizable. And it is PLASTERED IN ADS. We're talking wall-to-wall ads here. The home screen default is an ad, and you must scroll down to see your content. "Suggested for you" stuff that's actually just more advertisement and not legitimate recommendations is mixed in with real suggested content. The only way to reduce the ads and have a more straightforward interface is to enable "apps only mode," but this limits you to a short list of apps that Google allows in this mode. For example, my girlfriend wanted to watch a show on Lifetime. I could install the free Lifetime app on my TCL Roku TV, but I cannot install it on this TV in the apps-only mode. The only possible reason for this is that Google intentionally limits the functionality of the TV to force you to accept ads and additional tracking of your data. The picture quality on the TV is fantastic--I have no complaints about the TCL device itself. Unfortunately, I feel like I paid Google a bunch of money to put large advertisements in my face in my living room.

    I really like so much about this TV but it feels like a gamble owning it. Randomly, it will have some random image glitches. Theybdon’t happen often but have seen it enough times to feel some level of concern with thisninvestment.

    Issues with soundbar. Huge dissappontment

    Ive owned the tv since november. So about 3 months. Suddenly it's not recognizing my soundbar. I have to always disconnect the tv completely for it to work. Huge let down. Picture is great and it's great for video games but due to this issue I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it's something TCL has issues with and haven't been able to fix. Highly disappointed in the purchase.
