Old Version of Google TV OS Can't Run Many Apps

It is HORRIBLE. Half of the apps I use work on it. I reached out to the app makers and they said its because the Google TV OS is a few versions too old on this TV, which is odd considering it's brand new. I asked TCL if they'd ever release an update to update the Google TV OS and they said no. So everything looks to remain broken. Even apps that can play video have sound sync issues. It's so bad. The TV itself looks fine, it just doesn't function at all. If not using your apps through the built-in Google TV and instead using a Roku through HDMI, you should be fine. But defeats the point of it being a smart TV. One star. Avoid until they figure out a way to fix this brick.

Poor quality, poor warranty support.

It took 50 emails and 5 months to get a technician out, who stripped a screw, blamed me for opening the tv previously. He kept dropping tools and the tv panel once opened. After the repair, it took me a week to hire a crew to hand the tv back up, after which i found the brightness does not work, and once powered off, the tv wont come back on. Now tcl is saying the tv has been opened before and they dont want anything to do with it. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! THE WARRANTY IS THE WORST I HAVE SEEN.

Great TV when it works.

Never buying a TCL again.
