TCL admits it's a warranty problem, but said to take it back to Best Buy. Best Buy says my return window has closed. Therefore, this is a great TV if you are into spending $200 a week for a TV. If you'd like something that lasts, go with another brand.

Requires a system restart before every use

Most of the time when we power it on, the audio does not work. A system restart will fix it. (Not power cycling - a 'system restart' is somehow a different thing that takes 1-2 minutes to complete.) So, a brand new expensive TV that doesn't work out of the box but needs a weird trick every time you want to watch it.

Wouldnt buy again

Great TV for gaming and all around use.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently purchased the 65 inch TCL QM8 for $1,199 during the BestBuy sale and I'll have to admit I'm very surprised at how great this TV is for the price. I've been using this TV for PC gaming and one of the HDMI ports will let you play games at 4k 144Hz (I've confirmed this working on plenty of games). And YES, you can even play games at 240hz at 1080p (which I've also confirmed myself). It also works extremely well for general PC use. The TV will detect a "PC mode" under picture settings which "shows content in its original condition for best PC experience". PC mode isn't locked but it looks the best IMO. When loading up a game it switches to game mode. HDR looks incredible in games as well as movies. This TV has Freesync Premium Pro and gaming is as smooth as can be. Honestly for the price you can't beat this TV.

As I went looking for the New Hisense U8K model for 2023, it wasnt available, so I took a chance on the QM8 85 inch. And boy I’m so much in love with it, it rivals my LG Oled C series and Hard to say if Hisens or TCL are the best Budget TV ‘s around. This QM8 Rocks. And for the price it may very well be the beat purchase you can make.

Holy Crapola!!

I paid $904.99 & the picture is absolutely gorgeous. This may currenly be the BRIGHTEST tv on the market, according to reviews, with a 2,000 nit rating. The colors & blacks are VERY good & only top model OLEDS (LG G3, Sony A95L, Samsung S95C) outperform this tv. TCL has come a LONG WAY & for the price I paid & the 65" size, I have no complaints! Great value!

The installers did a good job getting the television up and running smoothly. We paid for haul away and were told that a crew from Shelbyville would contact us to set a date and time for removal of the old projection television which would not fit in the installer’s van! Pick up of the old television, left on our front porch was arranged for 3 or 4 days later! One other occurrence which I realized the day after installation was that the installers packed the owner’s manual away with the box and packing materials! I have had to hunt the internet for information on suggested settings to to television which has been very time consuming!
