    Don’t expect this tv to last much more than a year

    We bought this tv 14 months ago and all of the sudden while watching tv one evening the screen went black. Sound still worked but no matter what we did including a factory resetting the tv the picture would not come back on. Don’t make the same mistake I made and spend the extra couple hundred for a Samsung or Sony. We have a Samsung that is at least 6 years old. I wouldn’t feel so bad if I bought this tv 6 years ago and it went out but 14 months is horrible quality. Google TCL screen black if you think this is an anomaly.

    Horrible tv. Screen went black after a year and a few days. No help from costumer service and a very common problem.

    Quit working after just 15 months!

    DO NOT BUY A TCL! My 75" (75S425) quit working after 15 months. There is only a 1 year warrenty and TCL support said there was nothing they could do for me, not even offer a discount on a new TCL TV. Therefore, I'll never buy another TCL and recommend that you don't either.

In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.     I wouldnt recommend

    We bought the 75in TCL with roku less than 18 months ago and its already stopped working. The screen doesnt even turn on any more. I tried reaching out to TCL for support but no matter where I click, it just allows me to register the product, which is of no use. Of course, the warranty is only 1 year, so I dont expect much help even if I can figure out some way to contact them. Very disappointed, now that I have to go buy another TV.

    TCL - Black Screen of Death - Known Issue

    Buyer beware. There is a known problem with TCL TVs of black screen and no fix from TCL. After 2 years my TCL TV experienced the black screen of death and now is useless. G**gle the issue and you will be shocked on all the reports.
