    TCL Unreliable, Black Screen Problem is Common

    These TV's are unreliable. Two years of no abuse or misuse & its a Black screen now. Apparently a common problem. Our previous un-abused TV lasted 8 years with zero issues. These come with a 1 year warranty, should be longer. We expect un-abused electronics to last longer & be under warranty longer.

Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.     The product was cheap, nut overall I'm content with it. If you're looking for cheap TV this is one I would recommend.

    Completely dead at 3 months old

    This TV completely died, out of the blue, literally 3 months to the day after we bought it. It was under warranty and TCL said they would have to send a repair guy. That took about a week, and did not happened in the timeframe I was told by TCL. The repair guy said he fixes these TVs “literally all the time” and they frequently just break again. The TV was on for about 10 minutes after the repair before it lost picture. Followed the trouble shooting tips on TCLs site, got the picture back, and it died again after 10 minutes. DO NOT buy this TV. Again. The repair man told us they break all the time. Allllll the time.

    Have been told that 4k technology will be obsolete by 2021...hope they are wrong.

      There are options available to adjust the picture settings to better fit your personal preference. You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet.       Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Currently, our smart TVs do not support the direct input of channel numbers. However, if your TV is connected to the Internet, you can press the left arrow key to populate a channel guide and navigate channels this way. Additionally, you can enable "favorites" for over the air channels so that your most watched channels will automatically appear towards the top. To enable favorites you would go to Home>Settings>TV inputs>Antenna TV>Favorite Channels>Enable. Hope this helps!

    Deceitful advertising

    I purchased two TV's over a 2 month period almost a year ago from best buy, both over 60", and amounting to over $3000! I was told that if I opened a credit card account, I would get almost $200 in points, so of course I did it. Come to find out by reading other's complaints today. they send quickly expiring certificates to people's spam emails for the points shortly after purchases. so if you don't know they do this and you don't check your spam regularly, the certificates will expire on you before you even know it, Then when try to claim your points from Best Buy, you find out the certificates you didn't know were coming, came in youe SPAM expired! A deceitful company to do business with. No more purchases from Best Buy for me!!

    Sound goes on and off

    We have experienced times when the sound just cuts off and we have to go through changing the "source" to another one and then flip back to the correct one to get the sound back on. Overall - TV works, but interfacing with other devices and this sound issue does not warrant a 5 star.

    1 star for each year we got use of this TV. Working fine one night and the next morning it was black. 75” paperweight. Not too thrilled but see from other reviews, we may have been luckier than them.

    WORST TV EVER!!

    So we purchase this TV black friday of 2019. A month ago the TV suddenly went blue/black. We tried every trick we find online and nothing worked. About 2 weeks ago, I put it on hoping for a miracle...not only was it completely blank, now it had a red strip across the top of the TV. Customer services SUCKS...they still "processing my request" for a refund. We were force to buy a new TV. We are beyond disappointed and angry. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP!! I did my research too late but it seems to be a going issue with these

    Permanent Marks on Screen

    Everything was great until we notice some stain like marks on the display that are very noticible when solids colors are displayed. Now, we would have to rent a truck to return this thing. TCL should pick this up and bring a recplacement. No one should have to deal with this hassle.

    Great size for a good price but the screen light stopped working making it so dark to see and unable to fix on your own. Be cautious when buying this cause it’s a hit or miss.

    Broken in 6 months

    1. Warranty wait on the phone for 45 mins 2. 15 days serviceman comes can't fix it. 3. Need to be replaced they want to send me a refurbished tv. 4. So now they want to send me a tv that was broken that they fix and somebody else going to get my broken tv that they fix and keep passing them around until there's no more warrant then you are stuck. 5. This was not the plan when I came to best buy to buy a TV.

    Backlight Failed After 2 Years

    Went to turn my TV on last night, and it met me with a blank screen. After numerous troubleshooting methods, I used the flashlight test to determine the backlights had failed. Wish I had done more research when I bought it! The bright side is I will be majorly upgrading to a 77” LG C2 OLED
