Not the worst

I can't even review the TV since it was just my parents using my number to gift me the reward points. But if you want bang for your buck and aren't a home theatre snob, try a TCL. They're not terrible.

Let me say to start off with that I currently own 5 in total TCL TV's ranging from 4 to 6 series etc. at the time of purchase I asked the current Best Buy rep their opinion of this specific model vs the lower model TCL and that this would be "superior in performance" So let me be clear as far as speed related to Wi-Fi etc this is direct cat 6 hardwire to a 1ghz plan from fios So the good news about this tv - It turns on after 6 months (somewhat) So the bad news about this Tv - it does require multiple times to press the power button. On remote to start up in which more than half the time it comes on with substantial delay and then because you pressed the power button will shut off again -after 6 months the speed in navigating the menu is down right frustrating and obnoxious Click remote to the left 6 times wait 2 seconds and then it goes to desired location - the Tv must manually be switched the input you desire and no way for this to be standard feature which is annoying having to press input button every time you turn TV on Quality of picture - beyond poor, now I know a lot of the TV enthusiasts might insist it's the single from provider but this is a 50/50 myth that I have now proven to be somewhat incorrect Watching same show on two different TVS (TCL 5 series ) the dark scenes are something out of a 1980s TV that belong in a time machine. The dark scenes can I be adjusted through TV settings any better which classifies this as (NOT WATCHABLE). As of lately when a dark scene comes on it looks like big black boxes pixelated and at points it borderline shuts off TCL has been unreachable at this review point in time my frustrating lies In with the ghosting of people and box pixels on dark scenes even with the settings tuned as best as possible via manufacture recommendations This has been at this point a waste of money and my biggest regret of a purchase If all you want is a TV that turns on. Please be my guest But given my experience this has been my worse purchase ever regarding electronics and TVs. I will not be purchasing a TCL tv ever again

just in time insurance claim!

The geek squad handled everything smoothly. The TCL series series 5 is excellent. Some minor teething problems with the change to Google os vs Roku os.

Horrible costumer service
