TV Completely Failed in Eight Months

Almost immediately, we noticed a couple of bad pixels, which is incredibly annoying. But, we lived with it. This week the TV just died completely. The screen went black, then half the screen went black, then faded images "ghosts" appeared, then completely black. Tried everything we could think of to address problem. No luck. Seems that others have had the same or similar problems. This happened out of the blue. One day it worked, the next it was dead. Good news is that we purchased it only 8 months ago and it is still under warrantee. TCL will replace it, but I do not want a refurbished TCL tv. Even a new replacement would not be sufficient as I've lost trust in this product. I'll update with status as I know it.

Best pound for pound out there and you still can rack up your point account as a reward zone member! It doesn’t get any better :)

I can use my phone as a remote and it has all the streaming apps I need.

Online tons of others same issue, fixed with some trouble shooting of resetting. January, happened again, this time not fixing, again everyone on line has nothing but issues, similar but all a little different. I am now having to have my new $1300 TV fixed. The one star this is getting as a bonus because they are having a tech come to me, and service appears to be good. so long as you have your receipt/purchase details. If not you probably would have a $1300 paper weight, crazy..

Tv Screen went Black
