Worthless Piece of Crap
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In less than a year I have had to call TCL for warranty repair. On the second call, the technician said that the TV was beyond repair and should be trashed. Seriously. Thanks, TCL. Thanks, Best Buy.

Very poor service and delivery
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The store has not returned my calls. The technician did not understand how to use a dry wall anchors and ended up breaking off six of them in my wall, after drilling four holes. All that she put in are broken, I got one to work. They were supposed to take the old set away but she refused.

Exceptional bang for the buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As some others have stated: when I walked into the TV section of the brick-and-mortar store — just to see this screen in person — the associates immediately started trying to steer me toward LG and Samsung models. I'm not sure what the ulterior motives are for these employees, but I politely ignored them. This is a monster display at a monstrously good price point. I haven't sought out Dirty Screen Effect (DSE) or other dead pixel / banding / backlight bleed tests — which I mostly consider A/V OCD — so all I can tell you is that, with some picture settings tweaking, this TV produces extraordinary 4K HDR / Dolby Vision video quality when viewing "regular" ("normal") content. I only have an Xbox One X hooked up to this but am otherwise using the excellent bundled Roku interface for Hulu, Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, etc. A great test case for this TV is to start playing any episode of "Blue Planet II" (4K HDR) from the built-in Netflix app — as the results should be jaw-dropping and mesmerizing. Especially in a dark viewing room. Also, playing Xbox One X Enhanced games on this (switching on the TV's Game Mode for an optimal refresh rate) takes multiplayer Fortnite, Apex Legends, Battlefield, etc. to a whole new level of immersion and responsiveness. This was an upgrade from a 61" rear-projection 1080p Samsung (circa 2009), so clearly any modern 4K TV would blow it out of the water, but this TCL's color rendition, vibrancy, and black levels are truly amazing. A superb buy even at the normal retail price — but when it's on sale, it's an absolute steal.

Great value with few compromises.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All televisions have flaws. On a budget, Salesperson steered me towards high end Sony, LG and Samsung tv’s!?!. While all were impressive, I began to notice things that bugged me about each. LG Oled’s have judder, loss of dark detail And burn in risk. I am not babysitting my tv. Sony has great motion and color. Love them, but their smart interface and remote are way behind. Samsung is trying to be the Rolex of tv’s with the price to match. Motion handling could be better. Enjoyed their tizen interface and awesome remote. Enter TCL. I asked about this 75 inch tv and the salesperson dismissed it as ok. After awhile, I came to the conclusion the TCL 6 Series, while great at nothing, was good at everything. I bought it and have been happy. Excellent video gaming tv. Even switch games look good. HDR is cool. Can’t wait to see what tv’s a couple years from now can do with it. Interface and controls are dead simple. Panel is very uniform with no vignetting like the 55 and 65 sets. Black levels watching movies in the dark really impressed me. This set replaces a $3500 Samsung from 2012 and I vowed never to spend crazy money on a tv again. So, if you are practical and want a good all arounder 75 inch tv, this is it.

Excellent picture quality, Roku built-in
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is excellent. It is better than the high-end 6 year-old TV it replaced. There may be TV's with slightly better picture for significantly more cost. However, no TV can compete with this in terms of overall experience. Having the Roku built-in greatly improves the experience. I have owned FireTV and a couple Apple TV's. Roku built-in far out shines FireTV, Apple TV, and I suspect an external Roku device. I ditched cable a while ago and with Roku built in, it manages all my streaming feeds plus over the air TV. You can pause live TV for up to 90 minutes. There's one simple and easy to use remote. The Roku app on the iPhone is also very nice. I use it to listen to the TV with head phones when I don't want to bother others. The only reason I replaced my high-end 6 year old TV was to get a better experience. The picture quality of my older TV was still quite good, but it didn't have Roku. Note, two plus years ago, I bought the 55" TCL "P" series. This TV is still working excellent - like new. Last year I bought the TLC 65" series 6 TV and it too is excellent. Now all TV's are Roku TCL's.

Backlight went out after 1yr and rare use

No picture after only 4 months!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a piece of garbage! The picture went out after only 4 months! And the warranty only offered us a repair and not a replacement. I’ve had TVs that cost half as much last 10 times longer. Best Buy should be ashamed to sell this.

Don't be dissuaded by salespeople
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had an interesting experience buying this TV. I bought a 55" 6-series last Summer and really liked the performance, especially for the price. I was not really looking to replace our other TV (60" Samsung), but when I saw TCL had released a 75" 6-series, I was intrigued. When it then went on sale for $1499 during March Madness, I knew I had to have it. I went to Best Buy and headed straight to the TV department. When I told the sales guys what I wanted, they immediately tried to discourage me and started pitching similarly priced Samsung and LG models. However, neither had full-array backlighting and I knew the 6-Series could outpunch anything in its price range, based on my history with the 55" model. Reluctantly, they sold me what I came to buy, including a sarcastic "good luck" comment after loading the TV into my vehicle. Do your research and don't let them keep you from buying the TV. Sure, reliability may be an issue as the years go by, but at this price who cares. The TV is an absolute monster and displays beautiful 4k and HD content. Recommend highly, despite the buying process.

TCL 75 vs LG C9 OLED vs Samsung QLED 70
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was looking to replace my 2017 Sony 65 inch TV with something better. I liked the Sony but fell for the lure of QLED and OLED. I initially purchased a Samsung 75" QLED for ~$2800. I immediately did not like the picture quality when I got it home. Everything was too bright even after adjusting and tweaking the picture. Worse, the smart apps were just awful! Coming from the Sony, I was used to Android TV which has great apps. I mainly use YouTube, YouTube TV, and Netflix. The picture quality in these apps on the Samsung was BAD. So the Samsung went back and I replaced it with an LG C9 65". The Picture quality on the LG was good, but it really did not blow me away when I was home like I was expecting. I thought everything was a bit too dark in dark scenes and thinks were hard to see. Even after tweeking. The WebOS Apps are OK, but I did not like WebOS itself. Getting to settings, apps, the home screen was just too flashy instead of functional. I thought to myself, why am I paying all this money ($2800) for something that is not blowing me away? So, I saw a review of the TCL Series 6 75" and it said: "The TCL gives you 95% of the Picture Quality of a high end Sony for a fraction of the price"... So, I returned the LG and got the TCL. I could not be happier. For $1300, I got a 75" TV with an amazing (dare I say, PERFECT) picture quality and amazing Roku Applications! I am not the only one, my entire family thinks the picture is every bit as good as the LG OLED C9. The blacks are black and the colors pop! The dark areas are not too dark, they are perfectly dark. I will never be fooled again by the marketing. The Samsung and the LG OLED pictures IN NO WAY justify their cost! For LESS THAN HALF the price, this TCL is amazing. I highly recommend this TV!

MUCH better than I expected!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bye Sony! This TV replaces the very expensive Sony XBR70X850B 70" TV which I'd enjoyed for years—until it decided to get burn-in on the bottom of the screen. When researching similar sizes as a replacement, I came upon TCL—which I'd never heard of before. I also came across lots of comments about the "dirty screen" effect and cloudy screens, etc—all seemingly relegated to last years models and sizes. Biting the bullet—and geeked out at the affordable price for the massive size—I decided to take a chance and hope that all the kinks were worked out . . . and boy were they! Yep, the game is officially changed with this TV. The black levels are astounding! The color reproduction is vivid yet controlled. And the ability to fine-tune the set even more with the remote used via the phone app wins all day. Another added bonus for the set is the addition of the Dolby channel, a place aggregating promo Atmos and Vision videos just waiting to become one's "Demo Central". Seriously can't recommend the set highly enough.

Excellent until it has issues.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent TV but…it has some deal breaking issues. My first one fizzled out with lines and weird pink lines one WEEK before the manufacturer warranty ran out. Dodged a bullet and got a brand new one as a replacement. It’s now 3 years later and something else has gone wrong. Seems like a board blew for no reason. Taking it to a TV repair shop tomorrow to see if it’s salvageable.

Great picture, bad for hockey
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bottom line is that this has a great picture and performs great for a Roku TV. I have been watching 4k movies and they are stunning. However, hockey isn’t great. The local dimming zones can be seen as a grid of dark spots (shadows) only when the camera pans across the white ice of an NHL game, It’s subtle but you can see it, it’s distracting, but I’m getting used to it.. I haven’t found a setting or tweak that gets rid of it, only mitigates the effect, This is what people refer to as dirty screen, I believe. It’s absolutely the only thing I don’t love about this TV and hockey is the only time I see this, just during an end to end pan across the ice. I don’t see this on my series 5 55” TCL that doesn’t have local contrast regions. Unfortunately hockey is the one sport I watch and I watch a lot. Had I know, I’d have bought a different TV or at least bought a series 5 for less. If you don’t watch hockey, then you’ll be happy.

Exceeds expectations...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TCL 75inch gives alot for the $$. It excels in low light areas but still works well in bright rooms. A host of high end electronics ups the video quality. Sound quality is eceptable for ease of use; place it in theater mode. Best Bank for the Buck.... Place this one on the recommended...

Great Tv Especially for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this tv to replace an LG 75UK6570PUB. Geek Squad was no help in my situation but after 40 days they gave me a credit and I used it towards this. It has been working great, and since I already have a 55 inch in TCL my Roku transferred my info/apps. For buyers, it seems like the employers are making commission off of Samsung and LG, they never mention TCL, but with an HD/4K output to your TV, this thing looks beautiful and will save you money. Also, if you play video games, in game mode this is the best tv on the market for the price for reaction speed from controller to display. Again, I recommend this tv if this you’re looking for a 75 inch.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice TV but...i was warned about the vertical white lines that are a problem on this TV when viewing solid backgrounds (sky, all black etc.) Over time, this white tube like lines are getting worse and worse. Once you see them you cannot un see them. Really a bummer
