TCL quality has dropped dramatically

This TV was a complete disappointment. The picture on my four-year-old 55 inch TV is far superior. Their quality control has gone dramatically downhill. This TV has random black and white flashes and the company makes you jump through so many hoops to try and fulfill its warranty that it’s virtually useless. Now I’m stuck with a $1300 TV that is poor quality and embarrassing to have guests watch. Very poor quality and very poor customer service.

Good if you can get it without problems

Defective unit

Google TV is terrible. Lots of software issues and couldn’t get the screen to right. So disappointed. Returned my unit and have purchased a Samsung.

Disappointed

Picture quality is horrible even on 4k. Have tried all bandwiths to see if that helps and nothing. Will work on for another day or two before returning.

Avoid this TV

Both present intermittent flashing while watching content. The screen will flash a white backlight or the backlight will dim for a split second while watching any variety of content whether it is SDR, HDR, or Dolby Vision. TCL replaced the TV and the issue persists and they have offered no solutions other than claiming updates will fix the issue and none of them have.

Don't waster your money

The screen flickers black, the Google UI gets locked up, and the backlighting is very inconsistent. I tried getting help from TCL but they're support is dreadful and basically useless so I'm stuck with a broken TV.
