Great TV, Geek Squad horrible

We paid for the Geek Squad to set up the TV. A complete & total rip off. Geek Squad #1 brought the TV in & put the box in the basement where we wanted it (they were nice & efficient). Geek Squad #2 came in several days later, put the legs on the TV, set it where we wanted it & prepared to leave. They were not a official Geek Squad but a third-party contractor & that is all they were paid to do. Called the store & were told if we wanted it plugged in & set up, we would have to pay the fee again. After a lot of arguing with management at Best Buy & telling them to come & get the TV out of our house. They agreed to send the real Geek Squad out to set up the TV. After 6 weeks of owning the TV, they are to come out & set it up.

Not working right after a year

However after 1 year, it started to randomly go completely green and could bot watch anything. We trouble shooted HDMI cable and it was not that. Was informed could be the motherboard or a bulb going out. Disappointing since we only had for a little over a year. Only way to fix it was factory reset. It has happened twice. Now have had it for 1 1/2 years.

Great quality

The google voice turn on and off function is also a bit wonky but that’s not a big deal. The screen and video is amazing.

Quick setup and fairly intuitive user interface. I wish Google TV would let me customize my home screen. I wish the QAM tuner had a signal strength meter to help me dial in my antenna.

Beware of Best Buy price matching promises

Dishonest sales associates will say anything to sell, including promising that price match will be good for a period of time. I had trouble then was pawned off to service manager in India! Hours of hassles without resolution.
