Was great until Feb 29 software update

Until Feb 29 software update that was auto pushed. If tou plan to use (e)ARC or optical cable or anything other than the internal TV speakers, DO NOT BUY. All audio outputs were disabled by the latest software update and after two hours on with their tech support, the best they can do is have me ship it to their tech center and have no tv for an unspecified amount of time. Bought Feb 3 and Best Buy closed return window in 14 short days which makes me think twice about using Best Buy for purchases - this is really the only remaining reason there was to use them and they have taken that away as well. Anyway, TCL service tried but ultimately cant resolve a lousy software release so the issue is mine. I would get a more established brand and consider Amazon or other retailer with more than 2 week return window.

Excellent TV... don't hesitate to buy

The full-array local dimming provides black when needed ... instead of glow or bleed-through from a backlight.

Can see it in a bright room and sideview

I needed a tv we could veiw in bright room and from a side view. And we can do both. We only watch tv on it about 4 out of 7 days. Around 30 mins to 2 hours a day.
