    Do not buy a tcl

    Broke after 5 months. Nothing happened to it, just out of the blue the screen stopped working while we were watching something and now won’t come on at all. Contacted TCL since it came with a 1 year manufacturers warranty and were told they think they can fix it rather than replace it, and guaranteed we’d have a working tv again within 10 business days. It’s been 3 weeks and we’re still out a tv. TCL stopped returning our emails and when we got a hold of them by phone, they admitted they have no idea when the parts to fix it would be in or if someone would be out to help us anytime soon. Best Buy claims they can’t interfere with the manufacturer and can’t help whatsoever. We brought up that we paid for home delivery and mounting installation with the tv and asked if they could help us out with anything on that front, since a replacement or repair would require taking the tv up and down again. Nope. Told us we should’ve bought a bigger protection plan. Won’t ever buy a tcl again. Pretty disappointing customer service from Best Buy too.

    Terrible Customer Service

    Online purchase without a delivery option. So we drove 50 miles to pick up this TV only to be told I couldn’t take it home tied to the top of my car. Sales staff treated us like idiots and wouldn’t allow us to take possession of our purchased item. Said to me “you should know better than to try and pick this up with your car.” Horrible way to treat a former customer. Got my money back and had Amazon deliver to my address rather than making me drive an hour away to be told “you can’t have what you bought.”

    Freezes up....

    We've had it for a few weeks and sometimes it just freezes so none of the controls will work... weird. Calling tech support to see what's going on with it!! Freezes up...

    Never never again!! Don’t buy!!!

    I would not recommend any of TCL’s products. We purchased this model last Christmas and have nothing but problems with it. For over a year TCL support has done everything in their power NOT to address or repair the issue. They eventually sent out a repair man and he replaced a few parts but still not fixed. Now the warranty is up and we are stuck with a piece of garbage. Save yourself the headache and don’t deal with this unresponsive and lackluster company!

    TCL TV - not made to last

    I purchased a high end TCL 65" R646 model TV around 2 years ago. Then, about 6 months ago it started getting a pink haze around the edges. More recently, the whole picture started to look green-ish, and getting worse. I spent a great amount of time with TCL customer support trying to fix this issue to no avail. It was also clear to them that the TV picture was not correct. Ultimately however, they have refused to assist in any way, stating that it is now out of the warranty period. I am writing this because all TCL TV buyers need to know that I believe TCL TV units are only designed to last for 2 years or so. That's a very expensive couple of years - I'm leaving this one on the sidewalk and off to buy a Sony. Buyer Beware.

In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.     colors were ridiculous out of the box. soap opera effect was too much a scene would stop for one second as the tv thinks objects moving fast were glitchy
