Customers often highlight the outstanding picture quality and brightness of the 75" Class QM8K Series 4K UHD HDR QD-Mini LED Smart TV. Gamers appreciate the 144Hz refresh rate and solid gaming performance, while others enjoy the enhanced black levels and Dolby Atmos support. Connectivity is convenient with the side-mounted input section, but some users feel the bass quality could be improved to reach subwoofer levels.

Fantastic TV, Less Fantastic Best Buy Experience

This TV is excellent value for someone who doesn't want to drop a much larger sum on an OLED model. Bright and does everything that I need to to get the most out of my Panasonic 4k player. Upgraded from a previous Roku TCL from six years ago and the difference is night and day. Unfortunately Best Buy sent me an open box item as a new purchase, so I did have to return and get a replacement sent. It was a smooth but aggravating experience.

Great TV at a Great Value!

I have had this TV for about a week now and it is really stunning watching HDR and Dolby Vision content. This TV provides great value when you factor in the price points of its competitors and when you compare the specifications side by side. The black levels are really good and close to OLED levels. The Google TV interface performs well and is easy to navigate to access all of your applications. I had my own soundbar and subwoofer to setup for audio so I didn’t really test the TV’s speakers. As for sports, the quality of the stream is really going to depend on the source of the content or whether you are streaming from an alternative device but most major sports events that I watch looked good and stream in HD. Filmmaker mode is a great option for picture settings for a majority of your content. I would highly recommend this TV for anyone still on the fence.

    Fantastic Picture, Bright and Bold!

I’ve been using the TCL 75QM8K for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The picture quality is outstanding, colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and HDR content looks stunning thanks to its high brightness and great contrast handling. Watching movies and plating video games feels incredibly immersive, even in a bright room. The sound quality is solid too, dialogue comes through clearly, and there’s decent bass, but it’s not quite as dynamic as the picture deserves, so a soundbar would make it even better. Overall, this TV delivers fantastic value with premium image quality and plenty of brightness for any viewing environment.

I bought this TV as a Christmas gift for my family. The picture quality and sound are amazing and we love it. However, twice now, the screen has blacked out while we were watching. The sound still plays but there’s no picture. I tried unplugging it and replugging it back in.. didn’t help. I did a hard restart (holding down the power button on the remote) which finally fixed the issue. Other than that we absolutely enjoy the TV.

The picture quality is great. The sound is not bad for TV speakers. They got kind of hollow at one point and wouldn't adjust. That was fixed by cycling the power. Overall great TV.

Best TV Decision I've Ever Made!

Love my TCL 75" QM8K. I've been an OLED guy since 2017, owning multiple OLED TVs. After experiencing burn-in on one of my OLEDs (after 8 years of use), I decided to purchase a Mini-LED TV next, and I'm so glad I did. This TV has near OLED's perfect black. It's more colorful than my OLEDs, and significantly brighter. The specular highlights on this TV is unrivaled, and look fantastic when watching movies in Dolby Vision. For non-DV movies, the Film-Maker mode is even brighter, and I am enjoying watching all of my bluray movies again in that mode. The sound quality is one of the best on a TV. The TV comes with the Bang & Olufsen sound system, with two subwoofer drivers, and it sounds great for my media space. No sound bar needed. I love this TV so much that I'm now going for the 98" version. Highly recommended.

Excellent picture and sound quality. I just put it in intelligent picture mode and everything looks beautiful, no calibration needed. The TV itself, looks very elegant with minimal bezel around screen and attractive stand almost looks like screen is floating above tv cabinet. The bass from the woofers is perfect for my needs, I don't need a soundbar/sub that's going to disturb my neighbors. Plus I just like the clean, minimalistic look in my living room. Best TV I've ever owned by far, I love it!

The TCL QM8K Finally Makes Dark Movies Watchable

**TCL QM8K 75 Inch Review** I upgraded to the TCL QM8K in the 75 inch size, and the first thing that hit me was the color and the deep blacks. It feels like someone cleaned a window I did not know was dirty. Dark scenes finally look the way they are supposed to look. I can watch movies like The Batman without squinting or guessing what is happening. My old ten year old TV just could not handle low light scenes, so this feels like a big jump forward. The picture has a punchy look without being harsh. Bright highlights stand out, shadows stay clean, and the whole image feels more alive. It is the first time in a long time that a TV has made me want to rewatch movies just to see how they look. If you want a big screen with great blacks, strong colors, and real upgrade energy, the QM8K is the way to go. My confidence level is high.

Picture quality is great but audio quality is a bit rough. Even the preset audio settings need significant adjustment every time i switch between gaming, movies, sports, news, etc. Usually the base is overtuned.

After researching different TV options for a month or so I opted for this tv and couldn’t be happier. It’s ease of use to set up was a breeze and the wide range of settings was also very easy to achieve a picture that is very high quality for what I mainly use it for which is gaming and sports. Excellent build quality. I was not overly impressed with the sound but if you pair with a soundbar the picture quality more than makes up for the built in speakers.

I upgraded to a larger screen, better resolution, and HDMI specifications that matched my high-end Audio Receiver and Dolby ATMOS speakers with the TCL QM8K. I really like the picture, and the sound, but the best part of the TV is that it makes using my external components easier to control with the remote AND take advantage of the great sound of my system. There are many features yet to explore!!!

I am incredibly happy with this TV. The picture looks fantastic on it. This is coming from an 8yr old 65in TCL TV. Go check it out in person in a store to really see how great it looks. A great TV for a great price vs what an OLED gives you.

I replaced a Panasonic 58" 1080p Plasma TV from 2009 (high end in its time) with the TCL 75" QM8K. What a difference. The larger screen just dominates the family room. The picture quality is excellent. Brightness, color, and contrast outstanding in our bright room. On the showroom floor, I compared it to the QLED and OLED sets. I think the OLED might edge it out in picture quality but the cost savings ($1500 vs $2400+) was considerably more with the QD-MiniLED and the picture is still impressive. The sound is fantastic out of the box and fills our family room and kitchen area. I don't think I'll be adding a sound bar.I like the Google interface over a TCL Roku TV I have in my office. The remote is simple and easy to use and is backlit when you lift it (love that for my old eyes). If I have one complaint, it's more about me than the TV... newer movies streamed in Dolby Vision (60 fps) are so clear, crisp, and sharp, they don't look like traditional film (24 fps)...more like soap operas. I prefer the 24 fps cinematic look. It doesn't appear that I can override that Dolby setting on this TV. Ergo the reason for 4 stars vs 5. If I'm not streaming a moving, I can adjust the picture mode (standard, vivid, movie, etc). Overall, no regrets, it is a great TV.

This was a great purchase I was lucky to make during the Labor Day sale season. I'm not much of a TV guru, but I've been really happy with the picture quality - no issues with glare during the afternoon, and the picture stays crisp. The smart functionality is a nice touch, and I've found myself utilizing the smart apps more often than using my Apple TV because of the ease of use. The sound quality is great with the Bang and Olufsen stereo, providing great sound. The remote is intuitive and not overcrowded - and I appreciate the backlight capability. The only complaint I have is that the TV OS does experience slight lag here and there - usually when switching between apps. Nothing terrible, but definitely noticeable. I'm happy with the purchase and plan on keeping this set a long time.

For HDR content, wow, this TV is magnificent! Excellent picture quality, excellent brightness, very high contrast, and super colorful. I was playing Dolby Vision Brightness with standard luminance, and everything looked excellent. The details in dark scenes are almost perfect; the black bars will only appear distorted depending on the viewing angle. If you're viewing it straight on, then everything is fine. The TV is 10/10.
