Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the exceptional picture quality and brightness of the 75" Class QM8K Series 4K UHD HDR QD-Mini LED Smart TV. The TV's high refresh rate is great for gaming, and the black levels enhance the depth and uniformity of blacks. The Dolby Atmos performance is impressive, while connectivity is conveniently located on a side-mounted input section. However, some customers noted that the bass quality is not quite subwoofer-level.

Overall I’m very happy with this TV, it has amazing brightness if you are looking for a TV for a bright room, colors that pop right off the screen, just a beautiful picture overall. I love that the remote is backlit and lights up when you touch it, not just when you push a button. The reason for 4 stars is simply that I’ve see artifacts on the screen when this TV deals with fast moving scenes, specifically when there was a scene with things spinning in circles around the main character. I haven’t tested it with sports to see gore it handles that yet. It does gaming very well in my opinion. I also found the speakers on this TV to be better than most other TVs I’ve had. I would say that the positives way out weigh the negatives with this TV and I do not regret for one minute purchasing it. I did get it on sale for around $1500 for a 75” and at that price I thinks it’s well worth it unless the motion handling is more important to you, than look elsewhere.

I’m very happy with this purchase. Setup was simple and the controls are very intuitive. I have windows in the room and don’t get any glare. The colors are vivid. The sound is decent but I will add a sound bar to improve it.

I’ve been using the TCL 75QM8K for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The picture quality is outstanding, colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and HDR content looks stunning thanks to its high brightness and great contrast handling. Watching movies and plating video games feels incredibly immersive, even in a bright room. The sound quality is solid too, dialogue comes through clearly, and there’s decent bass, but it’s not quite as dynamic as the picture deserves, so a soundbar would make it even better. Overall, this TV delivers fantastic value with premium image quality and plenty of brightness for any viewing environment.

Like the title says this tv is almost perfect! The tv is almost brighter then the sun which is a good thing, especially for those made for dark scenes. HDR does drastically cut back on the brightness when its on. The 144hz native refresh rate of the panel really shines for gaming. The picture is top notch, cant wait to see what TCL does with quantum RGB. With that being said the picture does need tuning out the box. Besides that its a really good bang for your buck.

I replaced a Panasonic 58" 1080p Plasma TV from 2009 (high end in its time) with the TCL 75" QM8K. What a difference. The larger screen just dominates the family room. The picture quality is excellent. Brightness, color, and contrast outstanding in our bright room. On the showroom floor, I compared it to the QLED and OLED sets. I think the OLED might edge it out in picture quality but the cost savings ($1500 vs $2400+) was considerably more with the QD-MiniLED and the picture is still impressive. The sound is fantastic out of the box and fills our family room and kitchen area. I don't think I'll be adding a sound bar.I like the Google interface over a TCL Roku TV I have in my office. The remote is simple and easy to use and is backlit when you lift it (love that for my old eyes). If I have one complaint, it's more about me than the TV... newer movies streamed in Dolby Vision (60 fps) are so clear, crisp, and sharp, they don't look like traditional film (24 fps)...more like soap operas. I prefer the 24 fps cinematic look. It doesn't appear that I can override that Dolby setting on this TV. Ergo the reason for 4 stars vs 5. If I'm not streaming a moving, I can adjust the picture mode (standard, vivid, movie, etc). Overall, no regrets, it is a great TV.

This TV is absolutely the finest TV I have ever seen, second to an OLED! The picture is stunning, and it comes out of the box with all those pesky video options turned OFF already, unlike the Samsung trail of demise... I bought this TV when it was on sale at $1499, but even at $2000 its worth it! The brightness is TOO BRIGHT, so you don't need to worry about sunlit rooms!!! I also paired it with the Sony Bravia 6 3.2 channel soundbar and they work PERFECT together through the HDMI EArc port! I would not even consider another TV in this price range, it's that good. Not sure what they're using for panels, but they certainly found the nicest one I've ever seen, with exception to an OLED...

I saw this TV on display in the store, and the picture was good. After getting it home and setting it up (using AppleTV 4K), the picture is truly amazing. I’ve watched several high quality videos that show off the HDR and blacks - this TV is remarkably close to an OLED screen. The picture quality truly makes this one heck of a bang for your buck TV.

After doing a lot of research, I am very happy with this TV. While not OLED blacks, it's as close as you will get without paying OLED prices and is much brighter. Internally the OS is quick and responsive. Recommend checking rtings.com for more info, but overall great TV for the price.

After researching different TV options for a month or so I opted for this tv and couldn’t be happier. It’s ease of use to set up was a breeze and the wide range of settings was also very easy to achieve a picture that is very high quality for what I mainly use it for which is gaming and sports. Excellent build quality. I was not overly impressed with the sound but if you pair with a soundbar the picture quality more than makes up for the built in speakers.

Note I got this TV on sale for $1,398. This TV replaced a beautiful Sony Bravia because the breathless professional reviews proved irresistible - the picture, the sound, the design are all simply amazing. The clarity, the colors, and the easily adjustable brightness make it perfect for sunny rooms. The TCL brand in my mind meant cheap and substandard - but not this TV. Not even close.

I did months of research, watching review videos, and comparing 4k tv’s in person. I’ve been a Sony only user for years. But all my studying kept bringing me back to the TCL QM8K. The performance, quality of build, sound quality all led me to this QM8K. Save a lot of time and go with this TV. I’ll review it again after a couple months.

This TV is excellent value for someone who doesn't want to drop a much larger sum on an OLED model. Bright and does everything that I need to to get the most out of my Panasonic 4k player. Upgraded from a previous Roku TCL from six years ago and the difference is night and day. Unfortunately Best Buy sent me an open box item as a new purchase, so I did have to return and get a replacement sent. It was a smooth but aggravating experience.

The build quality, the almost bezel-less design, the sound, even the remote all feels so premium at a fracture of the cost! Four HDMI port total. Two of them are 2.1 connection with VRR support. Easily PS5 or Xbox ready. Picture is bright and pops out. It gets really close to OLED without being an OLED. Highly recommended

I bought this TV as a Christmas gift for my family. The picture quality and sound are amazing and we love it. However, twice now, the screen has blacked out while we were watching. The sound still plays but there’s no picture. I tried unplugging it and replugging it back in.. didn’t help. I did a hard restart (holding down the power button on the remote) which finally fixed the issue. Other than that we absolutely enjoy the TV.

Excellent picture and sound quality. I just put it in intelligent picture mode and everything looks beautiful, no calibration needed. The TV itself, looks very elegant with minimal bezel around screen and attractive stand almost looks like screen is floating above tv cabinet. The bass from the woofers is perfect for my needs, I don't need a soundbar/sub that's going to disturb my neighbors. Plus I just like the clean, minimalistic look in my living room. Best TV I've ever owned by far, I love it!
