Purchased this due to my Samsung getting Dirty Screen Affect two years after purchase. This unit has way more memort than any Samsung product so you can load all the apps you will ever need. Picture is great. Took some tweeking to get just right. Several Youtub guides to help those who are willing to spend the time. The remote is more sturdy and buttons are better than Samsung remotes.

I don't usually post my rating/review for a product but for this one i had to. This is a excellent TV for the price, don't let the brand TCL dissuade you (other more popular brands use panels from TCL FYI). Once I changed a few settings, just wow the brightness and clarity and richness of the colors is just so beautiful. It comes pretty darn close to a OLED TV and for me the small difference in OLED vs this mini LED is not worth the extra $1.5k. You'll be very happy with this TV and for most casual viewers it will tick off all the boxes you want out of a TV. It comes with google tv which so far is the smoothest operating system compared to other brand UI junk (samsung, LG). I have this TV paired with a soundbar and an apple tv and it has been an amazing experience. The inbuilt speakers are alright, for me once you have a soundbar its hard to go back to TV speakers.

Overall TV is good. The sound is surprisingly decent for a modern TV. The picture and colors are good and it performs well with HDR. Be warned that if you view the TV from an angle more than about 30 degrees the colors will be washed out, get an Oled if that bothers you. I came from an older lg oled, which looked awesome but was not as bright. This tcl looks very good but lacks the “wow” factor of oled, since oled has better contrast, color, and viewing angles.

Fantastic picture quality and impressive sound even without a soundbar. My wife and kids usually give me a hard time about upgrading TVs, but once this one was properly calibrated, they were absolutely blown away. I recommend starting with the Rtings picture calibration settings and then fine‑tuning from there to match your room. My space is a bit brighter, so I made a few additional adjustments. If you plan to wall‑mount it, double‑check your hardware. This model uses a 600×500 VESA pattern, and mine stayed in the box longer than expected while I hunted down a compatible mount. I was initially hesitant to go with TCL over some of the bigger-name brands, but after using it, I’d confidently choose TCL again.

Great picture for this price point, at $1799.99. Definitely a deal I wouldn't pass up if you're looking for a good TV that handles a room with a lot of light; this one does a great job.

I was deciding between Samsung SQ90F and this QM8K. Overall picture quality is superior. Price was amazing which is why I did not consider the QM9K. Blacks are excellent and almost on par with OLED. Brightness is almost too much. I ended up keeping it on mid bright settings for darker room. Glad I did not go with larger screen since Blu-ray and standard definition content would have almost been unwatchable. Sound system is better than most sub $200 sound bars. Remote is well made and menu is easy to follow.

The picture quality is very good. The smart TV apps menus are very snappy and loaded with lots of options. Sound quality is better than my Sony soundbar used previously on my old TV. I like the added film maker mode.

Great tv overall, have had it for about two weeks now and everything looks crisp. I'd say 75% of my watching is streaming services, 25% is sports. Many people will complain about the sports, yes it's not a sony and isn't super crisp but gets the job done. Would say if that is holding you back, just think about all the money you are saving by not buying the sony. Very much worth it and great TV for the price!`

I purchased the TV during a price drop which provided a great value for its features. First of all, it was very well packaged upon delivery and when unpacking, no visible damage while the wrap around the TV provided additional protection. Since i am using a TV streamer and i havent used the native build in Google TV but the image quality is beautiful. Especially when watching content in HDR10 or Dolby Vision it automatically switches I really would recommend if your looking for a TV that not completely break the bank!

This TV is no where near as bright as the 2023 QM8. It does not have the nice OLED-like 3D effect even in Vivid mode and max brightness. Definitely a visual downgrade in every way other than maybe the blacks look a little deeper when something like the night sky is showing. I compared them side-by-side and it is an incredible difference in picture quality. The TV also has a terrible flicker effect on certain objects in scenes when the camera is panning. The biggest culprits seems to be windows of sky scrapers or grassy fields, exactly like the 2023 QM8 has. This is regardless of motion clarity or judder settings. I compared this next to the 2025 U8 from Hisense and it manages to make everything buttery smooth, although the colors, darks, and highlights aren't quite as nice as the QM8 which makes it a bit more difficult to choose between them. This issue should have definitely been resolved by now. Not sure what the TCL engineers are doing with their time at this point but they need to address this glaring problem especially when TCL is now charging premium prices. Additionally, they are still using the same horrible HDMI ports of the 2023 QM8 that require you to go out and download CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) to lower the max allowed bandwidth to 40Gbps (Instructions below to save you the immense headache I went through to figure this out) if you want to game on your PC at 120hz. And no, after lowering it to 40Gbps you will not be able to use the TV's advertised refresh rate of 144hz or 12-bit color. It will only allow you to use 120hz and 10-bit color. If you do not use CRU your TV will constantly black out every few seconds and lose connection to the PC unless you drop down to 60hz or lower the resolution. I've reported this to them two years ago for the 2023 QM8 and they apparently ignored me. Truly unacceptable. If they fix these issues this TV could be a great deal for the price. I would even choose it over an OLED. But it seems they are incapable of improvements and only make each iteration worse than the last. Looking at the reviews and complaints of the 2024 model confirms that this will be a pattern going forward. *Instructions for CRU for PC Gamers* (THIS MAY VOID THE WARRANTY ON THE TV, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!) Google "CRU by ToastyX" (Custom Resolution Utility) and download it. Extract the files to a folder on your PC. Open the CRU program and double-click on the HDMI 2.1 connection under "extension blocks". Double-click on "HDMI 2.1 support" in the "Data Blocks" table, then change the "Maximum FRL rate" from "48 Gbps" to "40 Gbps" Then restart your PC. You should be able to game at 4k 120hz and 10-bit color after that. Good luck.

It was time for my 6-year-old Samsung to get upgraded, but I could not justify the price for the S95F OLED. I had been seeing excellent reviews for the TCL QM8K, and BB offered it at a ridiculously low price pre Black Friday. The TV arrived with a slightly damaged stand but BB made it right. The TV was easy to set up and is just amazing. I am delighted with the buying experience, price, and TV quality.

Love this tv for crisp clarity and large screen size that’s affordable compared to OLED. It has really high ratings from rtings.com so that’s a big plus because they do serious testing. I like that the remote has backlit buttons and it automatically turns on when you pick it up. The UI is a bit slow considering this is a 2025 smart tv. An Amazon fire stick from 2023 is just as fast in my opinion. Anyway I am happy with my purchase.

Great 4k tv, sharp image and easy menu Easy to remove the smoothing image to watch your movies like it should looks like ( not possible to test in the store) For the price it s a great deal. All the google apps are fast and you can even have a vpn app On to access other countries content. Online reviews compare it to a Sony and no disappointment for half the price. Bluray upscale looks very sharp too. No regrets ... it s a real "best" buy

Picture and build quality rival the best from Samsung and LG. This is the 3rd TCL tv Ive bought as they are so good that it's no longer worth spending the money on the Samsung and LG tvs that are twice the money for a "superior" product. This thing is fantastic and I would highly recommend it. I can't wait to see what TCL does if they move into the OLED space.

The associate who assisted us was excellent; their knowledge of the brand is what led us to buy the TCL TV. The television has excellent colors and the screen is not affected by light; it's a perfect investment, which is why I recommend it.

This 85" TCL QM8K replaced a 75" Sony Bravia that just died after only four years. The Mini LED makes for a very stunning display. There is virtually no edge around the display making for a clean modern look. I love it.

Bought this tv during sale, fantastic tv overall,, very bright as well as deep blacks (obviously not OLED levels).
