Bad tv

Great big TV!

This is my secondary tv in the bedroom, it's excessive I know but eyesight is going in my old age. 4k picture is fantastic! The only gripe I have and think I've heard it echoed in other reviews the processor that runs google tv is a bit underpowered, gets laggy if you try and make a selection too quick. This might be an overall issue with google tv these days, as I see the same issue with my chromecast with google tv and my Nvidia shield pro. Would recommend tv!

Not a good for watching live action sports.

It’s a decent TV but I would not recommend this 85s551g TCL tv if you like sports or live tv. Anything that is fast moving, the picture distorts and according to the folks at bestbuy the refresh rate on this tv is 60 hurtz and can’t be adjusted on this model. I contacted TCL, they said the same and there is nothing that can be done except to purchase the model that has 120 hurtz. I’ve had the tv a little over a month so that’s not an option and Best Buy’s return policy is 14 days after purchase so I am stuck with it. So if you watch sports, move on to a different TV. I wish someone had told me before purchasing.

BEST DECISION ON THIS 85" TV

I was in the market to purchase a 85" TV for my loft. After looking at different brands & prices, I decided to purchase this 85" TCL for $900. I was a little skeptical at first since I had never purchased a TCL. Set-up was straightforward & the google TV program is easy to scroll through. I've been watching sports, movies & streaming apps. Only issue for me was to change the quality of the picture. Make sure you look at all the settings to get the picture & sound quality you prefer. I rarely give reviews on my purchases but I wanted to help those people that are on the fence about purchasing this large TV for a low price.
