The colors are vibrant without looking oversaturated, and the contrast levels make darker scenes pop nicely. I watched a few high-definition nature documentaries and was blown away by the clarity and depth. Fast-moving scenes during sports and action movies were smooth, with minimal motion blur. For gaming, the response time felt quick and responsive. I didn’t notice lag or stuttering, which made a noticeable difference during competitive gameplay. Value for money of large screen TCL TVs can’t be beat. Was debating between the 75/85 inch QM8k and the 98 inch QM7k. Based on research I did, decided to go with the bigger screen since the difference in quality is apparently not noticeable. So far, super happy with the purchase. Be aware this screen is massive. The box is even bigger and the GeekSquad team who delivered it weren’t able to get it down to my basement where it was supposed to be mounted. They will not move the TV without the box and so had to unpack the TV, get it moved downstairs by myself (I hired some movers) and then call them back for mounting. The TV weighs about 120 lb without the box. Can’t really speak for the sound since i have it hooked to a 7.2 channel home theatre system. The UI is not super responsive and the remote is kinda basic (I’m used to the LG magic remote with the pointer). At least it’s backlit which is nice. There is some noticeable blooming (again I’m coming from an OLED) but honestly I expected it to be worse. Those are the only cons I can think of right now.
