The TCL 98” Q8 is amazing. I had an 85” Sony Bravia (2023) model which was great, but it doesn’t compare to the picture quality of this TCL. No blooming or blurred scenes. I have a surround sound system so I didn’t spend much time using the installed audio.

The picture and sound quality are very good. The installation process by the Geek Squad was also great.

This TV is awesome. The Gemini integration is improved 10 fold over my tv from just last year.

I replaced a Sony 75" with this Awesome 98" 98QM8K Home Theater TV. The picture is stunning and the immersive experience that a 98" screen provides needs to be experienced personally to be believed.

The TV exceeded my expectations. Excellent picture and the user interface is easy to learn. Best Buy did a great job with the delivery as well.

Still waiting to have it delivered due to a scheduling problem on their end. It looked amazing in the store. Excited to see it in my living room!

I decide to go with this TV because of great review of Rtings and the good discount price. So far, I am pretty happy with it.

I purchased the 98" TCL QM8K TV with high hopes, but unfortunately, it has a major flaw: a persistent buzzing sound at peak brightness. The noise disappears only when the brightness is lowered to 49 or below. Best Buy was helpful and exchanged the original unit for another of the same model. Sadly, the replacement has the exact same issue. Extremely disappointing for a premium TV. I’d like to exchange it for a different brand—even if it means paying more—but after emailing Best Buy, I’ve received no response. Buyer beware: while the picture quality is stunning, the buzzing completely ruins the experience. For reference, the exchange happened in September 2025. I’m now out $3,000 and stuck with a frustrating product. Just search “buzzing sound TCL QM8K”—I’m clearly not alone.

I am decidedly split in my opinion on this TV. The picture quality is fantastic and has exceeded my expectations. However, there is a known issue with the power supply on this TV that causes an intermittent and distracting buzzing sound to come from the TV. TCL states that the issue has been resolved in more recently manufactured units. However, they have not been helpful in getting my issues resolved. They have simply been deferring to Best Buy in getting this resolved. I am now on my fourth TV return from Best Buy (Best Buy has so far been unable to coordinate manufacture date requests with their warehouse prior to delivery). I want to recommend this TV, but cannot with the ongoing quality control and customer service issues.

Great Tv. Well worth the price. We got it for an extra room and now we want it for a main room.

Very impressed with the color and blacks on this TV. The free installation was done very professionally.

Purchased this TV after watching the 2025 January CES opening presentation by TCL representatives. I would love to be able to review my new TV now BUT it is not being delivered and installed until August 1st - at the earliest.

I have an LG C3 and the quality of this QM8K blew me away. Super smooth and sharp pictures. Very close to OLED and for the sale price of under $3000 for a 98” it’s well worth it.

Great TV, it is very bright, but it might be not the the best choice for a bright room with lots of windows, as the screen is very glossy, lots of reflection

Great Tv no regrets buy two if you can Do your research I want my $10 for this review

Great TV. Pictures and colors are amazing. The remote also lights up when using. Good feature at night.
