    If you want a large tv for sports and watching news channels, this tv is perfect. I do not game on this TV. Obviously, the 98" size is also nice to have, it feeds the ego. Where this TV dramatically falls apart is anything related to HDR and DV. It simply does not get bright enough for a decent HDR movie experience. In fact, most HDR movies on this TV look better if SDR is forced on the tv using an external player (ONN, Roku Ultra, Apple tv etc.). DV is a catastrophe this year; moreover, TCL has decided to lock us into three DV settings that cannot be modified or picture adjusted. The contrast on this TV is poor. I measured brightness, and it's around 620 nits on a 10% window. I owned a Sony X90L 85" for two months before this TV, and there is no comparison in HDR performance or native contrast. I also owned a QM8 85" for a few weeks, but unfortunately it was defective and totally blurry. The little I did see of HDR (through the blurr) on the QM8 was excellent. In the past, I have owned all of TCL's 6 series since 2018. I also have a 2021 Samsung QN90A. What I enjoy most about this 98" is watching SDR content. In fact, I prefer watching SDR content on this TV than on the Sony X90L 85". I still need to get accustomed to this TV, and maybe, if I do, I will not exchange it. This TV was mounted using the human-centric wall mount. It's a full-motion mount and works perfectly. You absolutely need a full-motion mount on this tv. I am pleasantly surprised by the upscaling on this tv. It makes me think that XR Clear on Sony's is maybe a tad overhyped.

    On Apple TV Dolby vision is dark! But when you turn it on HDR 10+ it has a good picture! And is very big!! And great.

    Outstanding TV. I have it mounted in my living room. Best buy didn't have a mount so I went with "the beast"from mount it. That's the company name. Solid. It's a full motion mount which is impressive. The geek squad team was awesome and did a great install.
