    It is ok. Before I bought this one, I bought the Samsung one and that by far is better than this TCL brand. I regret paying 199.00 for it. Not worth that price. I paid 179.00 for the Samsung on sale and I wish I would have bought 2.

    Too bass heavy. Can’t adjust subwoofer, with the bass turned all the way down on the bar, still over powers any dialogue

    i could not get the sound bar (SB) to function properly. it really should be a plug and play deal especially with the TCL TV and SB ARC connections. FIOS would not work through the SB, but switching to the TV apps the SB would sound off. another problem is the SB's remote is overly complicated; there are more buttons on the SB remote than on the remote for the TV (which is another sad story...that too will be returned).

    Owned this for just over two months. Subwoofer now cuts in and out. This is very distracting. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I will not be buying another TCL product as this is the second problem I have had. First was with a TV. I also thought the sound was “hollow” and lacking depth. Maybe I just had a bad one.

    The Dolby Atmos is kinda cool but there isn’t much that is broadcast with that. It sounds hollow and the the bass is non existent, even though all the way up. My cheaper sound bar sounds much better. Would not recommend.

    Won't stay connected to a TCL TV. Won't hold the settings. I got so sick of having to switch a setting with the remote that I just quit using it. Still have a couple months on the warranty but I'll be surprised if anything happens.

    to hear a speech clearly you have to turn the sound up to like 60 to hear it clearly. This is probably going to go back to smaller TCL TVs have excellent sound but the 55 inch is horrible.

    Ok sound bar but may not be worth the $$$

    The sound is OK, but seems to go into mode where the sound is a bit muffled and required rebooting when connect to TCL TV. Overhaul not adding ton of value. A bit disapointed.

    A dramatic Sound Delay when using Alto 8 Plus

    Stay away and choose another product. There’s a noticeable delay in sound when watching movies and tv. TCL doesn’t support the ALTO 8 Plus, there’s another company and the company only supports it Monday to Friday. I have not been able to resolve the delay. I’m thinking about returning the ALTO 8 Plus and get Vizio

    Never heard of a 2.1.2 before but first # are channels, second # is for subwoofer, the third # are two additional speakers on top firing upward. This is the first soundbar I've ever owned that sounded better in "surround" mode. Had a previous sound system on this TV and thought it was good. This unit far surpassed my old speaker system, including the bass. I ran my Roku device into soundbar, then from it to HDMI in on TV. Everything works from my Roku remote. Yay!

    Constantly have turn it off/on to get it to work properly. Intermittently disconnects from sub. Cuts in and out. Or sometimes no sound at all. Wish i could return it.

    The tv speakers had better sound than this sound bar and when it gave out all it did was echo and no sound echo then no sound
