Record player problem

The tone arm does return upon completion, but the turntable keeps on spinning. According to the manual, it is supposed to stop upon tone arm returning to holder. I also spoke with Service and was told item is not working properly. I believe what happened during shipment, the turntable shipping screw was in the wrong position.

And this one should not be until TEAC fixes their too-fast turntable issue. Now that I've gone looking for reviews more carefully, I see this is a rampant problem with this unit. Unfortunately, Best Buy's return policy is only 2 weeks and I missed the window to return it due to a death in the family. Now we're stuck with this thing and a 3 month turnaround to get it replaced or fixed. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE - PICK SOMETHING ELSE. AND Best Buy, might reconsider their return policy if customer retention is a priority even slightly...

Terrible piece of trash

Don't buy from TEAC!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yo DO NOT BUY THIS! I got one a few years ago, and the turntable plays records 11% too fast. There is no way to adjust the speed and TEAC has ignored all of my calls and won't replace or fix the system.
