This was without a shadow of a doubt the WORST phone case I have ever purchased, including those for non-smartphones. The first one I tried to buy upon getting my iPhone 7 plus on June 6 wouldn't even hook into place so the sales associate had to get another case and struggled just to get that in. I knew just a couple days after I purchased the case that it was a mistake when I gave it a water test and saw some water seep through. But I figured I would give it more time. The case did not improve. The sound from videos was always muffled when the case was on but was crystal clear with it off. However, it was often a struggle to get the case off. Also, the flap that protects the charger/headphone jack broke after just two months. I guess I could have sent this back under the one-year warranty but I did not want to risk having to put up with the many deficiencies of this case. I would not recommend buying it.

To make this phone waterproof they glued a type of screen onto a piece of black foam and placed these parts over the mic and speaker parts. There were three of these parts engendered into the case in total, two at the bottom and one at the top, all on the inside of the case. This engineering gave very poor mic and sound quality when making phone calls. I had constant complainants from people who I would be speaking with on the phone, they would say they cant hear me or that it sounds like i'm really far way from my phone. After figuring this issue out I decided to rip these water proof pieces off and this did fix the problem however the phone case is no longer waterproof. Also there is a little clip that snaps on and off over the port where you charge the phone/ hook up headphones, this piece ripped off after three months of use. After this issue I have decided to ditch this case and use a $7 case I found online that works much better. Very disappointed after spending nearly $100 on this case.

I don't use my phone that much but within a week the case broke in three different places. One through the hole where the charger does, one on the cover that snaps in the hole and one of the side of the case. I hadn't taken it off so I'm not sure how I got that one. It failed the water test and would now obviously because of the broken snap for the charger. I tried to contact the company but they say there is no refund for regular use. $90 wasted! Only thing I can say is I warned you all about it. You would think something plastic that cost $90 would be more reliable especially for everyday use but I guess not.

I've only had one other waterproof case before this for the previous iPhone I didn't like it was to bulky and sound was bad bought this on skeptical for vacation found a video with install instructions online and I like that it was thin and sound even on speaker no on could tell I had the case on unlike the previous one I had horrible on speaker.. now sound for music over speaker was decent wasn't sure what to expect it is slightly lower but I don't play music like that without a Bluetooth speaker overall I liked it especially the knob for ring and vib

I bought this when it was priced at $89. First package I tried the water test. It failed. I thought ok let me try another one. So I got an exchange. Well after 20 days the port cover started to tear where it was barely hanging on and it wouldn't go into the charging port so water wouldn't get in. THIS IS THE WORST PIECE OF JUNK I HAVE EVER SEEN. When I tried to return it was past the point so I had to exchange. I avoided all TECH 21 products. NEVER AGAIN. How Best Buy sells this is beyond me.

Within minutes of merely just opening this very over priced piece of plastic with broken promises, I knew I had chosen the wrong box. I have entrusted my phones, my kids phones and my husband phones in Lifeproof for years. You just can't beat them. They are durable, well made and stand behind their product. I've never had a problem with them. And if it starts to wear just email the company and they will repair/replace. I couldn't even get this Tech21 junk to line up to close. How is it supposed to be waterproof??! Going back. Buying my trusted Lifeproof. Won't stray from what I've trusted

I bought this case when I upgraded my phone because it seemed to be most durable and affordable. It broke before I even got it on he phone. So I took it back into store and exchanged it for another one. When I took it out of the box the plastic hinge covering the charge port broke off. So I made a warranty claim with Tech 21 (email support service was excellent) and phone support was ok. I received new case in less than a week. Within a week the knob to silence phone has already broken off. I wil be getting a new case from another company this week. Do not waste your money.

Purchased with a 7 Plus at Best Buy. Case provides terrible sound quality on both ends. Tech 21 should refund all purchases of this case. Really disappointing because their earlier cases were excellent competitor with the likes of OtterBox and LifeProof. I can't fathom how this case made it out of R&D without someone noticing this issue. I also have inquiry in with Tech21. I'll be trashing it as soon as I can get a new case.

I bought this case looking for a tough case but it turns out it is the complete opposite it isn't able to last long my first one broke and tech 21 sent another and after a week or 2 the same part broke which was the charging port cover

If you are strictly worried about dropping your phone in water than buy the case....BUT if you enjoy being able to hear while on the phone, people hearing you while talking on the phone, hearing your phone ring, and getting your sensor blocked so your screen stays black then buy it. There is not just one problem with this case there are multiple. How it is designed is also hard to hit the home button(iPhone 7 plus)

A real bear to get the cover on. The home button is too far away so Touch ID cannot be used.

Its very hard to seal, also Home button very hard.
