Great collection of the original TMNT cartoon series. The packaging could be better (plastic death grips on some of the discs makes it hard to access them), but the DVD quality is solid.

Awesome box set of a classic that I got on a killer sale for $19.99. My box came with a small crack but didn’t want to go through the trouble of returning, that being said all discs work properly and even though they are stacked on top of each other they surprisingly weren’t scratched. If you are looking to relive the 80s/90s I recommend picking this up the sound is great the picture is great voices are synced it’s absolutely worth it.

Having grown up through the 90s on this series, I was ecstatic to find Best Buy had the DVD collection available. The quality of the transfers from the original reels to DVD was much better than expected, especially with the audio being done in stereo rather than mono. My only issue with the release is the decision on cases. When Lionsgate made this release, they split the series across 24 discs into a single case that was only 2 inches thick. The way they accomplished this was by doubling-up on the number of discs per spindle, which means that half of the discs are at a higher risk of being damaged each time they're removed from/returned to the case. So if you're like me & want to prolong the life of this collection as much as possible (even if the cost of replacement is currently stupid-low), then I'd urge you to ditch the original case & invest in enough cases so as to give each disc its own dedicated spindle for storage.
